The Sixers need to stop winning and pass Orlando for the 4th worst record because the Lakers are pretty much locked into a Top 3 spot in terms of ping pong balls for the lottery. I'm feeling like the Lakers will keep their pick this year so if the Sixers want a Top 4 pick it likely will come from their own lottery positioning or the Kings, which actually looks like the pick swap may be the more likelier way of getting a Top 4 pick.

I would be happy if Orlando passes us but no need to dismiss the Lakers pick. If the Lakers stay where they are and finish third worst, there is still roughly a better than 50% chance the pick conveys with a 22.5% chance we get the #4 pick.

The Kings are better than us. 2.5 games better than us. So adding their ping pong balls like last year will help but banking on swapping with them needs to stop. Prepare to not swap with the Kings at this point so youre not disappointed.

Embiid plays a 1/4 of the season.
Simmons sits out all of the season.
Noel is traded for a bag of beans.
Okafor is still here.
We missed out on the Lakers Pick last year.
We missed out on the Miami Pick being a high pick.
We missed out on OKC pick being a high pick too.

Disappointment and the 76ers have walked hand in had for a while now. Something has to change right?
You want it to be one way....but it's the other way. (Marlo)

They are 2.5 games better than us for now. That won't be the case by year end. They are destined to fall in the standings.

Anyway, it's not like it matters if they end up better or worse than us. The pick swap occurs after the lottery, so every loss for them and us increases our chances of a top 3 pick. We have ours and their ping pong balls regardless.

Speaking of Orlando if they pick before us at 4 and we stay at 5 are they just going to draft the BPA? Do you think they will draft another PG? I don't think they like Payton. Also who do you think they would not draft who we might? Do you think they would pass on DSJ because he's not a great shooter?

They'd be foolish not to take BPA. They don't have any stars or even guys with star potential. If Hennigan is still in charge, they might decide to draft for fit because he is a terrible GM. I expect to see him fired at the end of this year though.

I really hope someone takes Dennis Smith Jr. before we are on the clock.

We should seriously stop winning games and or remaining competitive. We can imo get down to 2nd worst record in league which would effectively bump LA pick too.

Kills me to say bc both have been playing great lately, but it may not be the worst thing for BB to ease up on dario/roco minutes and maybe rests a few games.

Top 3 pick in this draft would be money.

If I'm Orlando, I'd take any of the available PG's to replace Payton.

We have no shot to catch the Lakers. Our best chance is to come in 4th and pass Orlando. Then we just need to get lucky in the lotto. Last year everyone is the lottery stayed where they were. The last 2 years the team with the worst record got the number 1 pick. The chances of getting 3 straight number 1 picks to the team with the worst record and for a second year in a row where there is no movement in the lottery are not good odds. I just hope a team outside the top 3 jumps up. Hopefully it's us.

Edit: I also think the Lakers will eventually pass Phoenix and move to 2 so we need 2 teams to jump up.

I agree, but with General Patton starting at center anything is possible.

All we need to do is showcase Okafor and we'll be fine.

All Dallas needs to do is makeup 9 games with 23 games left to play and leap frog ten teams and that first round pick is ours.

I doubt it. Unless it's Fox, who they may see as similar to Payton.

Blazers lose in OT to Pistons.

And I just noticed Crabbe's numbers this season are literally identical to last season. Spooky.

It astounds me that the Blazers cannot pass the Kings.

I agree with Arsenal, I hope DSJ isn't on the board when the Sixers draft. It's not that I don't think he can be successful, he just scares me as someone who could be a huge disappointment as well.
