Man, I played basketball yesterday and today and just got beat to hell by a couple of guys. Feels like I went a round in the boxing ring.
Gotta love being 26 and feeling like you're 60.

Had to stop following her on facebook. Just too much posting. I'm strangely interested to see her political stances considering I live nowhere near OKC though

Seth Rosenthal is retiring from Posting and Toasting today, which I'm very sad about. His particular brand of nihilistic word salad made me actually want to visit a Knicks blog on a regular basis.
Maybe his best:

Re: Off topic thread
LIfe will never be the same. Our 7 month old daughter officially "figured out" crawling this week. She's been working on it for a couple of weeks but she really got it down this week. And in typical fashion for our daughter, now that she's been crawling for five whole days, she's decided that's not enough and wants to try to climb up on stuff and gets mad if she can't do it. And since she just started crawling a few days ago, she can't climb up on anything yet, so our life now is watching her crawl across the living room to something (couch, ottoman, loveseat, exercise bike), spend a few minutes getting up on her knees and grabbing on to whatever she can, and getting mad when she realizes she can't climb up on it. Scarily enough, she can get up on her knees already and stand find on her own if we stand her up and let her lean up against something with her arms and hands, so she may only crawl for a month or so before she decides it's time to start walking.
Blah, blah, blah boring baby story about someone else's baby. Long story short, my daughter is now crawling and I'm not sure I'll ever sit down again. Fun times.

This mixtape is so good. Mix of Sade and MF Doom.
A little language, so use headphones if you're at work (you should anyway, you heathens).

I'm not sure if this is exciting or terrifying... Time to get a kennel.
How's parenting life treating you? Saw where you got to take your son to a Thunder game. Was he old enough to at least enjoy all the sounds and the atmosphere in general? I think we're planning on taking our daughter to her first Thunder game next year during Christmas break.
In the few days since that post, now my daughter's favorite game is crawling to something she wants that she can't have, like the dog's food bowl, being picked up and carried away my me or her mom, and throwing a fit about it. It's hilarious and heartbreaking at the same time when you whisk her away, sit her down, she looks up at me and starts pouting and I have to scold her.

It was great, we live 5 hours from OKC so we drove out Friday and stayed until Sunday, it was probably the most fun weekend of my life. As far as the actual game it went really well, he's too young to care about the court of course, but he adores strangers and there were thousands for him to talk to (including a little cutie a row back that he was making eyes at all night). He got a little wiggly because it was his nap time and he didn't want to sleep but he (and the girl behind us) ended up napping through the whole third quarter. We're pretty sure this will be a yearly thing, it's right around his half birthday so we'll say it's a half birthday present even though it's really for me. I'm kinda afraid next year will be a lot more difficult to get him sitting still for so long though. But yeah, I'd definitely recommend it as a nice way to get out of the house, and if they get fussy it gets lost in the crowd noise so nobody notices while you take them out to the concourse.

I'm absolutely dreading the first time I have to scold my son, I'm a pushover when it comes to kids anyway and this feels like such a dramatic shift. Almost like it's the moment where they truly become someone else instead of just an extension of you. It's crazy how quickly it has gone though, I hope you're enjoying it as much as I am. The way you talk about your daughter makes it obvious you're a great dad, so keep on keeping on man.

Yeah that's exactly how I felt the first time I scolded her and she reacted. The other day when I stopped her from going through the dog's food and sat her down on the couch, she looked up at me, I told her no, and she started pouting then cried a little bit. It was the first time I felt like she was her own actual person instead of just this really adorable tiny thing that I feed and hold and just kind of observe/watch all the time, but don't have actual, normal human interactions with her.

KDot shouted out Westbrook on his new single:
Tables turn, lesson learned, my best look
You jumped sides on me, now you 'bout to meet Westbrook
Go celebrate with your team and let victory vouch you
Just know the next game played, I might slap the s*** out you
Technical foul, I'm flagrant, I'm fouled
They throwin' me out, you throwin' the towel
