"Been right all season you big goof!"

The team was playing lotto ball with ish starting. And even though he played pretty well for stretches last night, we were up 7 when he came in with about 2 minutes to go. We ended up in OT because we couldn't get stops and didn't have a go-to scorer down the stretch. It's great that he an push tempo and get guys easy looks, but our late game offense now is running KCP off screens and hoping he keeps knocking down 3s. That's not really a long term formula for success. The fact that RJ has been and even worse option doesn't make our current option a good one.

I think we were 1 game above 500 and sitting at 9th. Now we're 2 games under and clinging to 8th.

There's a guy who's never going to understand the main Rubio's problem is not his bad outside shooting streaks, but his total inability to finish to the rim. You can't play him pair with Dre because that would make collapse our entire offense. And yes, I think we definitely would improve with Rubio instead of Reggie, but we surely will improve a lot more if we get a very good backup PG like Cory Joseph and we play both of them depending of the matchups.

Yeah but repetition is the father of learning

Then SVG should've learned a long time ago.

Like last season when our starting group was one of the best in the league?

Our starting group wasn't really the best. We just played them a ton of minutes because the bench was so bad.

We've played 58 games this season. How large a sample size do you need.

It's well known that installing a new PG is gonna cause issues - he's the engine that runs the show

After 20 odd games we were starting to look good with Ish as the new PG.

No one knew then that RJ would not be healthy when he returned.

Once that was obvious numerous people on here wanted to bring RJ off the bench, not only because Ish had found his way with the starting unit but because RJs game marginalized KCP (& Tobias to a lesser extent)

Fast forward a couple of months and that's now obvious to everyone!

The current rotation doesn't work because of RJ - having to erase the deficit every game is the problem, not KCP launching 3s in the 4th!

beggars can't be choosers and the fact we couldn't nab Rubio in a trade suggests we don't have the assets to grab Cory Joseph

On Rubio:

Some people are early adaptors and are vocal about what changes need to be made to the team - these people, if they're proven correct, are ahead of the curve

Then you've got the people who are the curve - they take a while to reach the same conclusion as the early adaptors because they weighed more evidence

Then you've got the prideful minority - those you are behind the curve and refuse to get with the program.

Depending on the topic we all fall in to a different group...

and in the case of Rubio mate you were behind the curve.

Nothing wrong with that cause we're all wrong some of the time but I'm happy you've got on board

I would do it a Valanciunas+CoJo for Drummond without blink.

Return to Detroit Pistons
