With possibly two 1rst round picks and a slew of 2nd round picks, it is very likely the Sixers will not have enough roster spots next season. I'd prefer Korkmaz stay in Europe until he is absolutely ready to contribute to the Sixers. He shouldn't take up a roster spot if he's a developmental player.

Yes 1 more year for Korkmaz overseas is best. Bring him over in 2018-2019 when he's 21 and has filled out a bit more. We probably won't have the space for him next year anyway.

Korkmaz should come over when he's as good as Drazen Petrovic. He better be better than him. I want us to finally find a gem late.

I think he will likely stay overseas another year, but one thing to keep in mind is that the roster is expanding from 15 to 17.

he's from there and probably not on anybody's list during their autocratic crackdown, but it's still got to dicey for anybody, especially if you're any kind of public figure. and since he wants to be here, i'd feel safer getting him on board, providing he continues to show his current display as a promising, improving prospect.

Probably picked a good game to see Furkan play, by far the most talented player on the court in the 2nd leg of 16th round in the CL. Ignited a great run in the 2nd quarter and had a very important off the dribble 3 to stop a comeback in the 3rd quarter.

Furkan looked great in that one. Looks very much an NBA athlete (finishing on a half court ally oop and overall very fluid), and such a great jumper. Good handle and can shoot on the move. Still thin, but good length. Does have a long way to go learning to navigate picks, but that sort of is expected.

If stauskas does not improve by the end of next season, we should just bring Korkmaz by 2018-19 season and cut sauce.

If I recall Nik has one more year left on his deal. I say keep him stashed another year then bring him to replace Nik.

He should really be playing at a higher level of competition than that...

Why we need to improve nick and give him for free to other team?

The fact that he is still so skinny holds him back. I don't think a decent Euroleague team would give him minutes. I was surprised to see Banvit win the Turkish cup this year.

Imho he's not skinnier than TLC. But I agree, he needs a higher level of competition.
The best thing for his developing, could be come over on one of those 2-way contracts with G-League, if allowed, and play a couple of game in the nba the next year.

That would never happen those contracts don't work like that. He was a first round pick

You're right, I forgot that.

So he could definitely benefit with another year in Europe....maybe in a more competitive team.

His offensive game is so fluid. Great catch and shoot mechanics and seems adept at pulling up off the dribble. I've always had a feeling this kid will end up being a piece to the puzzle.
