Lol if Tobias can guard Centers I suggest you watch him trying to guard Kevin Love last year in the playoffs.

Watch this team try to get a rebound when Dre is out of the game. Vs the Celtics little Marcus Smart came in and got an offensive rebound on a missed free throw. When he goes to contest a shot watch as we struggle to get weak side rebound.

What we need at PF is length, quick feet, rebounding and ability to spread the floor. Might be asking for alot but im hoping that will be Ellenson. Wheather or not he will mix with Dre is yet to be seen.

Agree that our guys need to crash the defensive glass to assist Dre

People talk about how he hedges on PnRs - he does it because:

1 - he knows RJ is not gonna fight over (which shpuld mean Dre takes the guard for a bit)

2 - he knows if he takes that guard the roller is going to the hoop for the easy bucket!

This is why Dre isn't getting his head chopped off by SVG for the way he defends the PnR, despite the info in that Lowe article posted around yhe trade deadline!

SVG knows that Dre is not to blame! It's the guards fault, then it's the weakside help!

Its as basic as it gets considering we've seen thousands of PnRs, yet there's at least a few guys on here blaming Dre for how he's hung out to dry by his team!

Jon Boy was supposed to help with this...didn't help much!

Hmmm I always notice this with Tobias. Morris/Luer attempt to rebound.

Id trade Harris/Boban/Hilliard to Phoenix for Bledsoe & Tyson Chandler.

Bledsoe can shoot & defend. Chandler was the player we all want Drummond to be. 2 years remaining on both deals. Chandler can give us atleast one good year as a backup. Last year would be a nice expiring deal. Ellenson should be ready by then. Phoenix will grab one of the top PG's making Bledsoe expendable.

Then trade Reggie to Denver for Wilson Chandler.

Another 3 & D. Unhappy in Denver. They had interest in Reggie.

Draft Miles Bridges. I think he can contribute as a rookie at both SF/PF. Has a great motor. Need a guy like him. Almost a Tobias Harris JR really.

Stanley really works on his 3 this summer and gets the starting nod.

Drummond/Chandler/Ellenson
Morris/Luer
Stanley/Chandler/Bridges
KCP/FA/MG
Bledsoe/Smith/Vet FA

Open roster spot for veteran/summer league.

Tyson Chandler, Wilson Chandler, Morris, Bledsoe, Smith all free agents in 2019. By then we will have the money to put that next Max player point guard perhaps? With KCP/Dre. 2019 will be our time to step in as contenders.

Would have been nice to get Terrence Jones, but he's in Milwaukee now. I think we need a veteran shooter. We should waive Hilliard(he's scrap) and sign Marcus Thornton. We tried to trade for him last year.

Would Phoenix accept that? I think they might

Rookie PG/Knight
Booker/Hilliard
Harris/Warren
Chriss/Bender
Len/Williams/Bobo

Allows them to go:

Chriss
Warren
Harris
Booker
Rookie stud PG

You'll probably never see that mate.

SJ is a SF/SG/PF - he's not gonna play PG for any great length of time

What you could see is him playing point forward for stretches when he's on the floor

There is no way we're going to get that type of player back in a trade. We're not going to be bad enough to draft a superstar.

So are you really suggesting we build our team around KCP, Tobias, & Marcus Morris? That's a perennial 4th-8th seed at best unless we get a superstar point guard.

Andre isn't hitting any new level. His best case scenario is if SVG stops trying to make him a superstar and gets him to concentrate on what he can do well, and hopefully he improves defensively with experience - like most big men. Basically, his best case scenario is DeAndre Jordan. Which is an all-star, but not the guy you build the team around.

I bet the Magic deal came down to choosing between

Ibaka for Ross/Toronto's 1st

or

Ibaka for Reggie/Detroits 1st
