I said that NO is New Orleans

I read that as you said New Orleans needs to win. Kings need them to lose!

c3j3h, When it's all said and done I'm predicting kings pick will fall between 4-6 and Pelicans will fall between 7-10. What's your prediction?

I think we will be lucky if we get to # 6 pick . I think we will get between 6-10th pick
I think we could get lucky n the lotto and get the 4th but based on seasons ending record we have almost no chance to having the 4th worst record .

It's impossible to move up to 4th in the lotto. Teams outside of the top 3 can only move in to the top 3 or move down. Unless you are meaning we jump into the top 3 and swap down with philly to 4th.

I am not disputing that . I am only saying based on seasons ending records not based on luck with the ping pong balls .

If it ends up like that we take Tatum 6 and Fox at the NO pick even if they fall to 11.

It doesn't matter we might not even win 2 games the rest of the way we're keeping the pick

I seriously doubt that . Kings are still giving serious minutes to our vets overall . When your doing that then you are saying 1 of 2 things or both .

1) We as a team are trying to win .
2) We as an organization really don't want to win but we must appear as we are trying to win . If we do not try we will anger the fan base that wants us to try and make the playoffs as well as anger our vets from wanting to be hear . Their are some vets the Kings want to keep ( mainly temple but Tolliver likely as well ) Not to mention you cannot send a message to other players around the NBA that we are trying not to win as that would even further make players not wanting to come here .
Granite that Kings are going young but we are not going full tilt young so we will be looking for vets via free agency this coming season & or the next year though those vets will be younger vets .

Nobody can assume we will only win a few games more . We might only win a few more . I hope we only win a few more but you cannot assume that .

In closing Nobody should assume that the following season that we will play to lose , be a terrible team or even get a lotto pick .
Vlade's job will be on the line . It is most likely make the playoffs or he will be fired most likely .
Kings will try and win . Plus Coach & Vivek does not want to lose either .
It is a shame the Vlade's job would likely be on the line considerihg he has drafted well . He is the only Gm to draft well in many years.
Drafted : STEIN ,PAPA , MALACHI & SKAL & ADDED BOGDAN VIA DRAFT TRADE & Through that trade we got PAPA & SKAL & via trading MARCO B. we got MALACHI .
The Cousins trade is Incomplete until we see if we get that pick & whom it is .
Vlade has wanted to trade Cousins for 3 years now and Vivek is whom and what stopped that Vivek tied Vlade's hands . It would be a shame if he lost his job when drafting well and not allowed to trade Cousins when back then a year ago , two years ago & three years ago Vlade could had traded Cuz and got even more via trades and now Vlade only likely will get 1 full season to make the playoffs post Cuz .

Anyways I am in full agreement Kings should lose , lose , lose right now . I just don't think we will win only 2 more games . I think it is more like 6-9 games at this point though I hope your right for our picks sake .

I don't think it matters if we're trying to win we won't we have 0 talent our number 1 option is Tyrese. Teams won't even take us serious that's how we will luck into 2-3 wins no way in hell we get 5 more wins.

****, the Pelicans are starting to gel. Cousins and Davis complement each other like Friday and sick time.

I was hoping it would take 20 games. Kings can never have nice things.

I have fears if the Pelicans are anywhere in the lottery the Kings will have far less nice things. :x

That top 3 protection has me wanting the Pels in the playoffs just so the Kings luck doesn't play a factor.

Gentry lost the game tonight. He draws up plays for Jrue Holiday on the last possession in regulation and last possession for the tie in OT ? Camera caught Cousins giving dirty looks as Gentry was drawing up the play.

Gentry isn't the right coach for that team. I would love to see Malone with that crew.

Love seeing Pelicans lose. Let them continue to lose. I wonder if it's coincidence that teams Cousins plays for lose hmm. Already some frustration with Cousins. Vlade made the right call. No longer our problem. Also maybe in Vlade's grand scheme he let Seth Curry go to Mavs to improve our draft position. Brett Brown (76ers coach) must be awesome. He gets his team to always play hard. I see them passing us and then swapping picks.

As a neutral observer this is currently my favorite non GSW thread on realgm.

I hope both NOP and Philly struggle while Sac loses just enough to keep the pick without having to swap with the Sixers.

The Kings with two top-8 lotto picks is an excellent collection of (drat) assets.

Would you consider trading both for a player? And what kind of player could you get for both lotto picks?

That's an interesting question.

Although, I prefer a complete rebuild. Waive the players with the partial-guarantee 2nd years and let the FA's walk. Obtain cap space and accumulate assets as our 1st, 2nd and 3rd priorities ala Sixers. Tank again for the 2018 season and get a top-3 pick in that draft and work from there.

Return to Sacramento Kings
