hot 3 point shooting kept this respectable at times. other then that putrid D, turnovers,... decent effort for a back to back

Just terrible IQ and terrible line ups (Foye provides nothing on D and RHJ@ 4) costing the Nets, I really enjoyed the effort and if Aminu plays normal and CJ does not go God mode the Nets would have had a chance.

LeVert shows incredible poise and passing ability, nice to see RHJ after an awful start fight back and play a bit like MKG on the glass. But yeah decision making is just awful for long stretches.

i hope KA realizes RHJ is not a 4. I don't care if they bring him off the bench, just put him back at his natural position.

RHJ has been much better at the 4 then the 3. its where he should be playing.

Foye is 3rd on our team in three pointers among guys who have played at least 20 games at 35%. he also turns it over the least of all our gaurds outside of Harris. He isnt very good, but its not like any SG we have is really all that better.

when you have a team with 13 or 14 bench guys there are no "good lineups" and the guys not starting will always look better because they are in bench roles more suited for them. once you start those guys there flaws become more appearant.

why would he "recognize" that when RHJ has played so much better at the PF spot?

RHJ had 12pts, 8rebs(5 offensive), 5asts 1stl, 1blks on 6-9FG and he was the problem last night? seriously?

Sometimes I think he's a bit outmatched, like the Utah game he was going against two huge ass guys. Other nights, he definitely isn't. This team's problems are a lack of talent and poor decision making across the board. RHJ playing PF isn't one of the problems, in fact it is where he has excelled at. His problem at PF is the fact that he needs to get stronger physically.

Lack of ball control is a big problem. But we also need better defensive effort all around. I thought Rondae would develop into a better defender again other teams shooters/wings. If he's rumbling down low for boards then he's not going to be covering the perimeter, where we get torched.

Defensively, RHJ is a better fit as a 3 - at least with the way our team is currently constructed IMO. If we're going to have Brook on the floor, then our best defense against the pick and roll is to have as much active help defense as possible. Ideally that means having Lin, LeVert, RHJ, and Acy or Booker roaming weakside. On nights where we can be a little more physical, we can manage to knock a few loose balls and convert fast breaks.

But for RHJ to be effective on offense as a 3, he's got to shoot the 3 better than Anthony Bennett at least. He also would need to work a bit more on attacking the basket off the dribble. Acy, Lin, and Brook seem to be reliable 3 point threats but LeVert isn't there yet. If he could develop into a 32%+ point shooter RHJ would look a bit better at the 3.

On the other hand, if we throw him at 4, he just needs to bulk up. He didn't lose the rebounding battle last night and has successfully attacked PFs, drawing fouls, etc...

First quarter 8 TOs and ended up 13 total told me that the team can control turnovers. I am sure KA told the team to stop those risky drives and we were much better. On the other hand, the defense rotation was a much bigger problem. Still not sure due to talent or due to coaching or both, the team was too easily thrown off rotation. They either all run to the same position or missed rotation to leave big open shots for the opponents.

Meh. Partially sour grapes.

When we were good back in 2012 we went up to Portland and whipped their ass on National TV. The Blazers were trash with Lillard, Batum and Aldridge that season. We completely disrespected them throughout the game.

Maybe Paul Allen wanted to put us in our place after attempting to sign away Crabbe.
