Jason "loser" Kendall
Well i was the only one on this board that thought this was going to be a horrible trade and i thought right.... i know its only one game but can somebody really play that bad as a cub debut??? being nervous is no excuse.. if he can't handle this atmosphere he can't handle squat. This guy singe handedly lost this game for us...

I was not at all impressed with the debut of Jason Kendall. His defense reminded me of Michael Barrett on a bad day.
From the missed play at the plate, to the Marmol wild pitch out, to the missed pop up, he was totally unimpressive in the field.
He was just as bad at the plate. I hope this move isn't the start of a losing streak for us.

Kendall will sit Wednesday, catch his breath, and is expected back in the lineup on Thursday for the series finale. He's got to cram quickly to get to know the Cubs pitching staff.
"It's a process," Kendall said. "They have to get trust in me and think about hitting the glove. It was a tough game -- two plays I should've made, and they cost the game. That's the bottom line."

its basically barrett for kendall straight up
no its basically trading barrett for a barrett with no offense which is completely useless... look i remember back in the day i was one of the few that didn't want Jason Kendall in a cub uniform when pitt was basically paying him $33 million... i was never for the trade and was upset when we did trade for bowen.. who is 26 by the way?? i mean c'mon don't rock the boat while we're on a streak unless it'll definetly be an upgrade.. which might be the complete opposite.

easy breakneck its only one game.
As 2poor said we got this guy as his bat is heating up. Hes a 11(I think) year vet batting .298. I know hes 33 but even .275 this season would be better than what we already had batting at the C position.
Patience breakneck. 100 years, you can wait a few more game 'till Kendall starts paying dividends.
