This was the exact reason so many of us were clamoring for a trade prior to the deadline. This team was simply not good enough to remain CONTENT! The current status, NOT QUITE ROCK BOTTOM, is not all at the feet of Chandler Parsons. The LEMONADE MAN - Coach Fizdale and his staff laid a major egg with the lineup change last night.
WHAT WAS THE REASON FOR THE LINEUP CHANGE? If the answer is based upon performances of certain individuals, THEN HOW ON EARTH IS CHANDLER PARSONS SPARED THE DEMOTION? Are we to believe that, JaMychal Green and Tony Allen were the problem? JaMychal Green who is coming off his second 20 point and 10 rebound performance of the year, and Tony Allen who is the only one, ON THE TEAM CAPABLE OF GUARDING A YOUNG PERIMETER PLAYER. The change therefore has no credibility with the one group of stakeholders that matter - the players. Tony Allen already has the reputation of when he is not starting he is not the same player coming off the bench. (He checks out on you) so you couple that with this B.S. move and you get the lackluster effort from those affected. JaMychal Green was replaced in the lineup by Brandon Wright, not Zach Randolph but Brandon Wright, who has been on maternity leave the past two games, and out injured for the better part of two years. Hence did he earn the promotion? Granted there are some young bigs for New Jersey that ZBo struggles against, but he loves to start and placing someone in that position who could be viewed as not earning it, will not go over well. SURPRISE, SURPRISE, ZBo only plays 16 minutes, WHO COULD HAVE SEEN THAT COMING? I DON'T KNOW MAYBE EVERYBODY, WHO ACTUALLY KNOWS THIS TEAM AND ITS PLAYERS.
Toney Douglas, Tony Douglas, Tony freaking Douglas; has anyone in Grizland ever wondered why this great find was out of work this year and the only team that could see his value was the Grizzlies? If I hear he fitS the team so well one more time, could it be that you have a roster full of lemons so of course he would fit, because you have very few quality players that he will look like he belongs amongst them. Players can play scared, and Coaches can coach scared, but the biggest impact is THE FRONT OFFICE, with no foresight or imagination or innovation, NO NEW IDEAS, prevents you from adapting or responding correctly which filters to the entire organization. The extension they collectively received last year is looking as bad as the Chandler Parsons contract right now.
Now many of you may respond that it was only one game and this post is an overreaction. You have no idea how I wish you were correct, but unfortunately this organization has been screwing us over with these dumb ass moves for longer than some of us can remember. PEOPLE THAT IS NOT RAIN FALLING ON OUR HEADS, TAKE A GOOD SNIFF, IT IS THE SAME PISS THAT YEAR AFTER YEAR, PREVENTS REAL SUCCESS, COMING FROM THE ORGANIZATION. PISS POOR EFFORT, PISS POOR COACHING, AND TRUE TO FORM - A PISS POOR FRONT OFFICE.
