It's ridiculous. Mods need to do something about this garbage. We finally win a game and the thread gets hijacked with lin worship nonsense.

Dislaimer: I'm a Nets fan first, been a season ticket holder since they came to Brooklyn.

Why can't we all speculate about our teams fortunes had Lin been healthy. Didn't people do the same thing when DWill was constantly hurt. We all are trying to pull whatever positive we can. It brings comfort knowing that we would have likely been better had Lin been healthy this year

Might just be selective memory but from recollection, Kilpatrick isn't great at being the first attacker on a set defense, even off a screen. He puts his head down and gets into trouble quite often.

He's much better when the defense is just slightly off-balance because Lin or Dinwiddie got into the paint off a drive. His 3s look much better in form and his attacking angles open up much more for foul calls. Lin also has a tendency to throw long up-court passes off rebounds which guys like Kilpatrick / LeVert can benefit from.

Henceforth, all discussion/debate over Jeremy Lin's impact should go to the new Jeremy Lin's Impact Discussion thread

If you just want to casually talk about last night's game, feel free to continue to post in this thread.

If you want to enter the bear cage and debate How good Lin is and how much of an impact he has on the team, discuss that in the Lin Impact thread.

To be fair, everything is easier against an off balance defense.

A primary goal of the offense is to get them out of being set up so that you can find holes and gaps in coverage and have players exploit them.

Yeah the Kilpatrick hate is misplaced. I never expected Kilpatrick to be successful as a PG. He is a pure SG. I give him credit for sacrificing for the team and playing out of position when he knew he would look bad.

The Kilpatrick hate was justified. He was a turnover machine for weeks. One great game doesn't erase all of that.

He has had back to back good/great games. Once is a fluke but 2 is hopefully a trend.

I really like the play where RHJ drove and crossed two guys for the lay up.

The entire squad looked good. Definitely one of our best wins of the season. Really happy with Levert and IW's progress. RHJ had a solid game after a few bad ones. I think RHJ can play the 4 but only vs less physical PFs. Favors and Zbo type players will always punish him. He definitely needs to get bigger/stronger during the summer if he will play the 4 going forward. Also, worth mentioning that SK has actually looked solid during the last 2 games and i hope he keeps at it. He's had a TERRIBLE couples of months of bball so here's to SK closing the season strong.

I'm still not convinced RHJ should get any minutes. The dude is a hustle/defender who can occasionally drive in and get a foul call, but he cannot finish around the rim even if his life depended on him. Add that to the fact that he can't shoot either and we have an erectile dysfunction offense dude.

Give his minutes to Quincy Acy. Acy is a stud. Not only does he have great defense and rebounding, but the dude has a 3 point shot and it also seems like he doesn't get mentally shaken.

Acy should receive the bulk of minutes from RHJ and Booker. Booker should still receive some minutes but RHJ should not receive any. He got lucky with the foul calls but if he doesn't get those, he can't finish when he drives in.

Of course he's going to turn the ball over as a PG, he's not a playmaker. We had him trying to do too much. He's much better receiving the ball in a set play instead of bringing it up. He's played well in the games he was off the ball.

I was one of the ones who attacked him the least during his PG phase. I wasn't down on him that much because I was saying that he's playing out of position and that he needs to be able to play his position. I even said that we should give him time to adjust back to being an SG after he was no longer given PG minutes.

But he struggled for several weeks after going back to SG. Kilpatrick was turning the ballover just dribbling the ball and attacking the basket. These weren't plays that are only customary for a PG. He was playing off the ball the last few weeks and he was still screwing up.

I get what you are saying. I don't expect much from him though. He's a backup level guy who's going to look really bad when his game is off because that means he's turning the ball over or forcing shots. It's not like a Brook bad game where he just disappears on the glass.

When he is on though he is fun to watch.

RHJ is amazing. However, he should not have a green light to shoot or drive the ball. He should play the role of Draymond Green. Move the ball, set screens, go after offensive rebounds, cut to the basket and only shoot the ball if he is wide open.
