8. Knicks take Fox and Reggie Rose immediately starts tweeting about how much he hated New York anyway.

This is post of the thread. It somehow is both so silly that it could never happen, but also so real hat it has to happen.

This is probably accurate. We should keep track of this and check stuff off as they happen.

I don't see why we couldn't get a single unprotected first from the team receiving OUR BEST PLAYER and the THE BEST PLAYER IN THE DEAL. I'll never be able to wrap my mind around that one, but whatever.

Anyways, we might be able to sneak into the top 3. I maintain that the Magic are not tanking but simply are not good. We are playing the guys that were supposed to turn us into a playoff team. That's pathetic.

Reason not obvious when dwight left them after one year?

No, because he was all smiles when he was checking out their trophies and living in LA during his rehab. They were supposedly one of two teams (BKN being the other) where he would re-sign. That's why we didn't take the Rockets offer, or Dallas, or any other team. We should have been able to get an unprotected first considering the Lakers were supposed to be championship contenders for years. No one saw this coming from them. However, I'm not surprised considering Hennigan has never been able to get an unprotected first for any of our guys. The first always has to be "worst of" or "top 3 protected." It just further proves his ineptitude as an NBA GM.
dont forget that the lakers also shelled out Bynum in the deal. He was one of Dwight's fiercest rival then.

So its looking more and more like we again couldn't stomach a real tank job, and once again will be out-tanked by the Lakers and the Sixers, meaning we end up with a #5 or #6 pick, while the Lakers and Sixers get top 3 picks and franchise changing players.

Would have thought we would have learned this lesson after having it happen to us three fking times in a row...

Sacramento is the king of all tanks. They were up 30 and still lost. Best case scenario is a 6th pick for us. Could easily be 8th with a couple more unexpected wins. This franchise will never learn.

7-9 pick it is. No way we out tank any of the teams ahead of us right now or Sacramento. Probably not the Pelicans or New York either.

Haha, I'm not that dense. Aware there is a lottery. Worst record can only slide to 4th at worst, 2nd to 5th, so on so forth. Odds are that if we end up with the 5th worst record, that we will take away the 6th pick. I'm so familiar with this process because we have been on the wrong side of it three years in a **** row now.

Only a fool makes the same mistake twice... so what does that make us if we made it three times?

2014 - Pick 3 is Embiid. Magic have pick 4.
2015 - Pick 4 is Porzingis. Magic have pick 5.

Its all just a little bit of history repeating...

And yes Divac will likely reach and take the French guy with the lower of the two lottery picks, just like how he drafted the Greek big man that is a dleague caliber player in last year's lotto.

He reaches and takes foreign guys because literally every American based agent has told the Kings they will NOT deal with them every again if they draft their guy. The Kings have burnt all their bridges.

It's going to be touch and go but we'll pick 5-7, we can't be silly enough to ruin this tank. I'm expecting road losses. The franchise is a business and they need wins at home at sell tickets for next season. I get the predicament from the business stand point, 5 years of losing but be bad for business.

I'm expecting 29-31 wins, it's going to be close. Hopefully we can move up into the top 3, otherwise it's left overs from Tatum/Isaac/Smith

Winning is more fun than losing.

Does that do it?

Yeah we'll likely fall out of the top 5 and get and just miss one of the franchise changers while the Lakers continue to get top picks. This team refuses to just swallow their pride and tank. Before we landed Ross I said the worst thing they could do is add a player that makes us marginally better and ruins our draft position and that's EXACTLY what may happen. But remember when we beat Da Bulls doe!?

"Expert tankers unite!!!" lol

Enlighten me on how you would effectively tank in a season. For me it would be to give CJ, DJ and JG enough minutes to counteract the good that our younger core provides. Or throw out lineups that you are "experimenting with" Payton might work at center with his rebounding skills... pretty much a lot of things people complain about on here. lol

Phillies strategy is obvious... put together a team filled with players on 1 leg for at least their first season or euros that don't wanna come over for a couple years so that the team will not get better in the moment....

Lakers just... I don't know what their deal is.

Brooklyn is just devoid of true talent.

Phoenix is apparently figuring things out now.... and I hope they continue in order that they pass us as well.

We talk about tanking... but i just want to know what people would like to see happen in order to attain it. Because if our team is playing well and clicking ... you can't just say " Hey fournier.... miss shots so that we can get a better pick and find someone to draft that is really good and we can trade you to Milwaukee in the offseason" lol. The only person i can see that happen with is Jeff green.... "you're paid $15 mill to do what we ask you too, you're gone this offseason no matter what"

Jeff Green should not see the floor again. Mario should play major minutes. Run the offense through Mario a bit. Not only should that help lose but you find exactly what you have with Mario. I still don't know.

Keep Vuc sidlined as much as long possible. When he's ready to come back hold him out a couple more games.

When Vuc comes back limit his minutes a bit. Play Zimmerman to see what he can do.

Make Payton shoot more jumpers. Payton can not be the PG long term if he doesn't hit from the outside. Tell him to shoot more. Regardless of the result he's gotta keep shooting. Maybe he gets hot and starts trusting his shot more. Never know.

More CJ less DJ . DJ makes a lot of key shots. That's gotta be limited as much as possible.

Those are my suggestions. No way we win more then 3 more games if we do this. But we won't :(
