That knee came out of nowhere, the ref can't be expected to have been on top of it but he moved his ass to get in there once it went down. Mizugaki would still be hovering around waiting to see what happens as I type this now.

speaking of refs. WTF, Jon McCarthy? He grabbed Cowboy by the arm and held his jaw when admonishing him for that late upkick. I get that Cowboy committed a foul but there are means for resolving that. The fighters can't grab you to punish your errors, you can't grab them. This guy was LAPD? Not surprised.

It was about the only time I've been fine with McCarthy's authoritarianism. Brazilian Cowboy needed to be taught a lesson because that wasn't an anomaly, rather it's proven to be his character.

But you know he would have done that normal fouler given his history. So really it's another Big John moment where his desire for power, control, and to be noticed shows. Take the point away and verbally admonish him. That should suffice.

Big Country shouldn't have apologized. He, or someone else he does this stuff too should challenge him to a fight in the UFC. That would sell well in the oft chance he'd accept and improve the guy's marketability in my and fan's eyes. BJM needs to be checked just like Brazilian Cowboy.

Kelvin is crazy good. I know people are on this Silva thing now but I would like to see him fight a relevant MW next tbh. I actually think he matches up really well with the likes of Jacare. Someone like Rockhold who is crazy big/long would be a more dangerous fight for him in this division.

There are avenues by which to curb Cowboy's behavior. Take a point, threaten a DQ, have the commission fine him. There is no 'off the books' punishments, it's not like when a hispanic kid runs across your lawn. He absolutely cannot try to dominate dudes like they're precocious puppies and he certainly can't grab them by the mouth like that.
Hi love, bye love, I will miss my love.

I told you why I'll make the exception for him. He is for all intents and purposes a Hispanic kid.

I'd have been chiding BJM again even more than you if that were 99% of fighters. But Brazilian Cowboy needed to go into a corner and think about what he'd done. He needed a life lesson. He acts like a 13 year-old.
