Will we lose 70 games this year?

Post#1 » by therealbig3 » Sat Mar 4, 2017 10:24 pm

We would need to go 3-19 the rest of the way in order to not lose 70.

We're 2-28 in our last 30 games, so we're definitely capable of losing that much.

Is it important? For sure, we will have the worst record in NBA this season.

We're 2-28 in last 30 games, but we were 4-5 in the 1st 9 games, so you never know.

We have Lin back and teams are really starting to tank now. Unless we shut Lopez down for the season or something I think we'll win 6-7 or so more games

So many games ended up being single digit loses because of terrible TOs and BBIQ. I think we should be better now with Lin back.

damn. I remember changing my preseason win prediction from 17 wins to like 22 or 23.... there was too much optimism on the board here over the summer LOL. Someone actually commented on how they were upset I changed since I had the lowest win prediction.

And people had us getting to 30 wins this year.

we still have terrible iq, terrible d and turnovers. lin helps but he isnt turning frogs into princes. we are like 4-13 with Lin in the lineup or something like that with losses to philly, LA, orlando....

Lin makes a big difference on the court, but not in the standings

to be fair, I'll be happy with 21 wins by end of this season.

I'm expecting 15-16 wins though.

To be fair, half of Lin games were with heavy mins restrictions. Like a few with 15 mins a game and other with 20. So that 4-13 record has half the games where Lin is either still getting his legs under him and playing so little mins he couldnt affect the outcome. So assuming full health of Lin i wouldnt be surprised if that W/L was cut to 6/11 or 7/10 if he gets hots and steals an extra one. Especially against the likes of PHI, LA, and ORL.

Personally i see the squad going 6-14. Alot of teams are going hardcore into tankathon mode, so there will be wins to be picked up.

you guys are great, seriously! you go through hard times and im not only talking about this horrible FO decision to trade away your future for KG and Pierce, im talking about the great hope you had with the relocation to brooklyn, with avery johnson, joe johnson, d-will, lopez....the season started so promising. Then you had Kidd and i dont understand why you let him go for 2 2nd rounders. I hope the nets will get out of this super tanking mode as soon as possible

People were also thinking that another year wouldn't be decimated by injuries.

Our starting and backup PG position was wiped out early in the season and Kenny is on record saying that the PG is the engine of the team.

No one goes into the season thinking that the starting PG is going to miss half of the games and will be working his way back up to normal play in another quarter of them while the backup PG will just be done for the season because his ankle is screwed up.

Losing Lin and Vasquez was massive in this team being the worst in the NBA. But a prediction is still a prediction. Hard to tell how things could have turned out and that's a whole other argument there.

The last 17 games we'll be playing against 9 lottery teams. Let's see where we stand when we're all healthy. All we need is Harris to come back.

20 wins is doable. Who am I kidding...

Guess this record stands and these players as sparsely talented as they are, will NOT stand in infamy.

13 wins baby with 15 more games left.

it would be so so good to actually catch the lakers. they are 20-48 but only 10-38 since their 10-10 start. In the same period, Brooklyn started 5-15 and followed that with 8-39. of course the lakers want to keep their pick but since it doesn't matter to the nets, they should make the lakers the worse team in the league by getting to 21 wins and hoping the lakers don't win again. 8-7 is doable.
