I got raised approx 7% last year, and now 10% this year. On top of the MLSE screwing up and putting ticket cost on the actual tickets this year.

Wonder if beer will be going up 10% as well.

Have to fit in Serge and Kyle's contracts.

Going through the renewal package and I see this memo:

Please note that due to applicable league rules and/or requirements, your Season Seat location may be relocated for the 2016 playoff games, as well as for select games in the 2017-18 Season. In the event that this occurs, we will relocate you based on available inventory. *

Just got my renewal info from MLSE. My tickets in previous years went up by about 20-50ish dollars. This year it's 400.... (I have fanzone seats FYI, so these are the cheapest you can get)

Playoffs have also gone up again it looks like.

Also, this is a part of the membership contract now: "Please note that due to applicable league rules and/or requirements, your Season Seat location may be relocated for the 2017 playoff games, as well as for select games in the 2017-18 Season. In the event that this occurs, we will relocate you based on available inventory."

MLSE really gouging this year. I'm guessing they anticipate going into luxury if they have to. Honestly debating not renewing. Anyone else see a big increase in pricing?

Got a 10% bump in Seasons and a 9% bump in playoffs.

I don't mind it,as long as they go into the tax this year.

I don't understand the chance of relocation of seats though.

Yeah, my tickets went up by 31%. Pretty wild. Just heard back from my rep regarding the seats:

"The notice on your invoice is mandated by the league now. We had to put it on everyone’s invoice. The accounts that this actually affects already know and have been relocated for playoffs. We just had to put it on in case we make it to the NBA Finals and the league decides on other seats for camera kills."

THIS.. Mine went up 10% but I don't mind assuming we put a good team on the court next year. If they refuse to go into the tax and the team gets gutted I might be a little pissed.

As someone who just took a 30-ish percent increase on the Jays and saw them do **** all in the offseason, a bit wary about doing the exact same thing for the Raps.

I mean, I know I will, but if this isn't a tax team next year it'll be my last as a SSH.

They did this for leafs too next season. Not much to do with luxury tax but "helping" consumers avoid expanise scalpers.

So just out of curiosity I called and talked to a rep and asked why the increase.. She told me its because people buying single ticket were paying almost double the SSH price so they thought it was only fair to balance it out a little more.. :lol

Lol. That's funny.

Raptors introduced dynamic pricing this year. Their pricing mechanism is off and now they are pushing it back to SSHs.

Yea that's kinda what I expected, I was just wondering what line of bull they would try and feed me as an explanation.

As they should be paying double as single game purchases don't have as much committed as SSH's.

What a piss poor rationale....

What is fair is providing more benefits and value to SSH's who are having to pay up year over year for our loyalty and commitment.

Is there even a single benefit to being a SSH (outside of the absolute obvious ones that every SSH in North American pro sports has) besides the pre-season gift?

**** even the Jays have a fanfest and ticket exchanges and stuff.

Oh I agree. it pisses me off the prices continue to go up with **** excuses but the service and events for SSH holds just goes down.

I try to go to all of the events with my kids who really enjoy them but I'm aware that not every SSH gets invited to the same events. Last year I was lucky to get invited to a Ripley's one (with DeMar, Norm, Delon there) and Wonderland (although food sucked). This year, not so much other than a Mix in the Six event (got free nice sweat shirt). The $100 concessions credit is nice. And I have been able to sell all the games I can't go to at above my cost...so overall, it is cheaper for me to be a SSH, enjoy some games, go to SSH events, $100 credit vs. buying single game seats. Playoff Priority is definitely nice and being able to purchase the tickets at lower than face value is nice. However, I do hate it that everyone I know keeps asking me around this time for hookups on playoff tickets.

However, I remember during the losing years, not so much as I couldn't even give away free tickets as friends and family wouldn't even take them for free. Although I was happy to donate them to kids rather than begging a friend of family member to take them off my hands. However, I got in as a SSH at this time (right before the lockout) and got a great deal on lower bowls and they were so desperate they even gave me 2 pairs of courtsides that year.

Right forgot about Mix in the Six (which wasn't bad - a couple free drinks and yeah I'll probably end up wearing that sweater to the game tonight).

tbh I think they lost me when they had your Ripley event and then followed it up with the upper bowl one that was promoted as 'chance to meet your account executive' with a cash bar.

It was alright. As theaub said above, a couple of free ciroc mixed cocktails and a nice grey Raptors sweatshirt with Ciroc logo on the sleeve (which is way better than say a Cdn Tire logo). There were some appetizers too. But like everything this season, was poorly organized. I tried to call my rep before the game just to ask if there will be any food and put me on hold for 5 mins before telling me that no one had the information..told me to call Eleven (which was the stated venue). I called Eleven and they said they weren't sure. When we arrived at Eleven, they had a hostess walk us outside all the way to Real Sports 2nd floor where the event was actually held. LOL the hostess did this with every guest..they couldve just told us to go to Real Sports directly.

Wait wtf is the mix in the Six? I haven't had a single event invite all year.
