For some reason when Lin is missing his shots, you always see some really ugly and cringe worthy ones. I know even superstars have off nights. But Lin misses seem to have a lot more airball or barely hits the rim type. :P

Lin said his body maybe still in west time  I can accept this excuse after a long trip and early start. :)

I had a friend in Vegas put down 2k for me on 19.5 over before the lines started moving.

I STILLZ GOT HOPE!!!! CMON 8-9 BABY! YA'LL CAN DO IT!!!

3/16 @ NYK
3/19 vs DAL
3/21 vs DET
3/23 vs PHO
3/28 vs PHI
3/30 @ DET
4/1 vs ORL
4/4 @ PHI
4/6 @ ORL
4/8 vs CHI
4/12 @ CHI

These are the remaining "winnable" games i see on the schedule. The non listed are pretty much guaranteed losses. Maybe steal one of em ala MEM, but doubtful. Most of these games are against the tankathon contenders who will be trying to rack up as many losses as possible to get more ping pong balls. Other teams are in complete and utter dysfunction for whatever reason, personally i find DET very beatable, the Nets just play em very well. Last coupla games against CHI i'm banking on them tanking after they fallen out of the PO race and are "resting" their stars. If the Nets dont shut down Lin and BroLo, they got a shot.

20-62! LETS GOOOOOOO

The worst games to play in are the first home game after a West Coast trip.

The Nets blowing that lead in the 3rd qtr was a complete team effort. Lin not being able to hit shots was the least of the issues when the team had a stretch where they were up by 20+ pts and let it dwindle due to careless, low IQ basketball.

No, that doesnt fly. Lin is the veteran, "best" guard on the team, and the PG to boot. He's the one who sets the tempo and should dictate how things go. He's supposed to be the floor general who rallies the troops when theyre rattled and needs to lead by example. He's not just "one of the guys" scrapping for a spot in the NBA anyway, he's the defacto co-leader of the team with BroLo, with a sizable guaranteed deal/starting spot. If Lin wilts under pressure then its unreasonable for the rest to remain steady and not be shaken. The 7 mins to start the 3rd quarter is all on him and the team started to wilt and his crap shooting/decision making was a good reason for it.

Now of course i shall give him props for shaking it off and getting aggressive in the 4th, attacking the bucket to get layups, FTs, and fouling the "Unicorn" out. THAT is the Lin we need for the entirety of the game, i'd prefer he do that from the start rather than waiting for the 4th or when the game is close to start getting his intensity up.

I honestly feel that with the team up huge and him not shooting well early, he was kinda acting lackadaisical until 4th when **** got real and then he decided to "man up". Boy, plz man up starting in the 1st plz.

Lin had an off start to the game. Despite that he still competed on defense hard, and when the game got dicey he stepped up and made critical play after critical play.

Some of you guys seriously think that this guy is some A tier superstar player and it's baffling. He's not. He's a good, above average guard who will give you great effort, but will not play perfectly every night. That's not to make an excuse for him, that's just facts. He's not good enough to come out and be flawless or perform at a superstar level, only a handful of players are on that level on the planet and sorry to break it to some folks, but he's not on that level. And that's okay because neither is 97% of the league.

That 3rd quarter wasn't all on him. Everyone in that line up that blew that lead were contributed. Multiple turnovers. Ill advised shots, and defense lapses. One man can't blow a 25 point lead, to even insinuate that defies reality.

I feel sorry for Jeremy Lin if this is how his fans really feel about him because he can't meet their outrageous and unrealistic expectations.

No not everyone feels lin is a superstar..There are like legit single digit superstars in the Nba. Lin is and i have always said this given the usage and chance to play starter a 17/7 player i firmly believe that and always have. He is not a superstar, but he is a good player and i believe had he not gotten injured he would have put up 17/7 easy. Conley is Lins ceiling in my opinion but thats just my opinion.

Conley is a top 10 PG, i don't think guys understand how good that dude really is, he's one of the league's best floor generals, the number of assists per game career wise is misleading, every time i've seen him off the floor the grizzlies don't look the same. '

I don't want to say "never" unless Lin has a late career explosion like Steve Nash did, but that's really setting the bar high for a 28 year old who still has to prove that he can sustain good production as a full season starter. That being said, i don't think 17 and 7 next season is out of the question for him.

I met your friend at a blackjack bar earlier in the season. He told me his idiot friend trusted him with 2k and he made fake bet slips which was almost no effort to make to fool you. He said that you wouldn't realize he ran off with your money for at least 6 more months - which was plenty of time to run away and cover his tracks. :o I guess he was right? Go get your slips verified!!

Nooooooooooooooooooooo

He's prolly the one who used voodoo magic on Lin to make him hurt his hammy! The bastard made sure to hurt Lin so that the Nets wouldnt even get to 20 wins and thus i wouldnt even come looking for him at all!

His crime was simply too perfect! :banghead:

This season? Yes! Next season? Doubt it... He will ultimately be a great role player off the bench playing ~20 minutes a game. That's enough for us. We still need a better talent to start the game.

Watched the game last night on DVR.... reading these comments i just have to shake my head at this forum. People Lin bashing now? Really? Sure through 3 quarters he didnt make alot of noise... but in the 4th with like 7 minutes left when carmello got hot and cut it to 7 Lin stopped the bleeding with a three, layup, then three point play and a couple steals.

anyhow, y'all are straight up crazy. Lin scores 18 points in a loss and dude is superman. He is critical coming back against the nets and he is a bum now or something? i dont get it.

Anyhow, my thoughts on the game:

1) This made my year as a nets fan. Stompng the knicks at home on biggie night with Oakley courtside and lin with same late game heroics and silencing melos late run. PERFECT script.

2) On FIRE from three... shows a glimpse of what this offense could be with more shooters/more talented players. Brook couldnt miss, Acy was on fire. guys shooting with confidence

3) RHJ was outstanding. 14/11 on 6/8 shooting and held his own against kristaps again. even outrebounded him and porzingas only scored once on him inside. Add some weight and RHJ can be a legit PF.

4) Booker/Acy played great again, their defense has been a big part of this recent run of more competitive play.

5) Kilpatrick struggled, looks like he has come back to earth but he was still aggressive. whitehead as well. Whitehead has real upside as a bench combo gaurd.

No....

If he is working great in his role why change that role? if its not broke dont fix it. These guys are all bench players and do well in that role. expand their role and its likely they dont play as well. Plus RHJ has played extremely well at PF and needs that developmental time there.... lets not overlook RHJ dropped 14/11 last night on 6/8 shooting.

He brings defense, hustle, and rebounding.

His defense is really damn good because he knows how not to get into foul trouble while putting glue-stick defense on players. And he can shoot a serviceable 3 pointer. He also plays less selfish than Booker too. I think he would be a great starter, with Booker taking Acy's previous minutes.
