The Magic shot the ball well, rebounded and had low TO numbers. Apparently a team must play defense to win in the NBA.

Well, good that they lost for tanking ,however... This is probably new season low for a team. I don't know how can somebody look at this team and think that some players are untochable in trade talks. Good players, if Magic actually had any, against teams like Kings can by themselfs carry teams to wins. Like Hayward, Mills, Jokić, hell even Brook Lopez did against this Knicks in last few weeks.

Magic have few players who get their stats and at the end of a day their stats translate into 24-44 record. This team is in such a desperate need of new PG,SF and C to be anything.

We are trying to win and we cant beat a total tanking team.Dont get me wrong Im still happy we lost but doesnt it say something about this team? They cant beat a tanking team? How badly this team is constructed:/ and badly coached. This doesnt bode well for the future.

Have to give you guys credit. No way I can stay up that late and watch. :) But yeah it was a good loss. EP and AG are playing very well but I want more rebounds from AG.

Yeah..... i was expecting an uptick in rebounds from him at the pf position. Started off well and has trailed off recently. You can't be ok with your pg outrebounding you. Unless it's by design as to ignite the fast break quicker.... no clue. But yeah... they have been looking really good since the break! Loving what i'm seeing from those 2 and vuc as well.

I mean, I guess he's been a bit better lately, but overall he still seems pretty bad. I don't know how Kings fans feel about him. He's 39% from 3 this year, so he's got that goin for him.

Help me understand how you went from Henny is going to regret not picking him over Oladpio to he still seems pretty bad? Especially when Oladipo has been outplaying him on a playoff team. (before his injury) Did you forget the green font?

Nik is so much better than Biz it isnt funny, I hope we keep him but i doubt anyone would want Bismacks contract though. Payton keeps going westbrook and like the last month of every season, we start playing well and try to win meaningless games that will only hurt our draft position. We do this every damn year.

Like I said before Ross is just another role player like the rest of our guys. This team needs a an elite player or two.

Ok we lost, good for the tank. But how sad is it that sac was resting their players and we were at full power and lost anyway. The culture of this team has to change fast. Very fast.

Exactly I mean we are trying to win and we lose to teams trying to lose. Its just wow. This whole roster is a mess and the system and organizational leadership is in ruins. There isnt much to feel good about with a bunch of young guys that are role players at best.

You'll forget about this loss if we land a top 3 pick.

I'm not denying that but im not sure why we stopped running plays for him so early on. He still has shown that he is a capable scorer and that he can catch fire if he is involved and in the flow of the offense. Now the only looks he can get is catch and shoot threes or contested step back threes where he has to create his own shot off the dribble. I just think we stopped getting him involved and better looks too early on. Those Elbow jumpers he would get when we would run him off the screen and he would get an open look off it were much more efficient shots.

So I finally watched the game this morning because I was not staying up to watch what I figured was going to happen anyways. First off, that is a clutch loss for draft purposes. Although I hate seeing my team lose which has been a routine in this rebuild, I fully understand the importance on maximizing your odds in the draft. This road trip will be huge and so far it is going successfully.

As for the game itself, Frank did not disappoint with those patented garbage rotations he has been doing all season and his lack of having his team prepared for the opponent. Sacramento had so many wide open 3's in that game and they were not doing anything revolutionary on offense. Wish we would lean on our youth primarily down the stretch of this season but Frank is adamant on winning games. Lucky for us, the roster we have does not mesh well at all and the vets that we have absolutely suck sans Jodie Meeks and C.J. Watson who has not been terrible as of late.

I did enjoy how engaged Elf was on offense but he needs to become a better defender. AG had a solid game scoring and hit a couple of 3s but looked lost on defense constantly and does not finish with contact consistently. His rebounding numbers are unacceptable for a PF. T-Ross was just a body out there, was hardly noticeable because we no longer run anything for him anymore for some reason. Vuc was pretty damn terrific out there, struggled some with WCS's speed and athleticism. Evan was solid overall and shot very well from 3. I wish we would just try him out as a 6th man, I honestly think he would thrive there but his contract status may never allow us to do that.

Thought Mario played very solid on both ends. Had some blunders here and there but he was a nice facilitator and remained aggressive. Tbh he probably should have played down the stretch over Ross.

Long story short, Alex Martins needs to be reassigned to a role that does not have him make basketball decisions and Rob Hennigan needs to be axed ASAP.

This was the first Magic game I've watched for a while, it was pretty fun for the likes of me who are openly rooting for maximum tanking.

On the other hand, losing to an openly tanking team resting a lot of key players speaks pretty badly for our current roster, but we all know it's a train wreck anyway.

I think his low rebound numbers have to do with him having to guard more spread-PFs, so he's further away from the basket PLUS Elf helping more on the boards. Can't have PG/PF/C with big rebounding number all the time. Someone takes the hit in stats, and in this instance, it's AG. When/IF Elf stops with the triple-dubs, i think we'll see an uptick in AG's boards.

That's my guess.

AG is not crashing the boards. He is running when the shot is up quite often. That is how you have an uptempo offense. You don't crash glass AND run uptempo fastbreaks.

No joke, this team is worse than the Dipo/Harris led teams we had the last two years. Rob/Martins screwed up our tank.

No, they're not stars but Harris/Dipo/Dedmon are all very serviceable players. This team doesn't have the talent to just give those away... and we did.

No doubt, I'm just hoping they realize just how far away this team is. This team will be bottom 5 next year as well.
