If the western conference playoffs starts today...

Post#1 » by hongdayuan » Tue Mar 14, 2017 8:31 pm

Crazy matchups:

Spurs vs nuggets: denvers young guys probably give the Spurs a tough 4 game series, but coaching and experience probably come out rather easily.

Warriors vs griz: the matchup that all the dubs hater has been waiting for. Without kd it's gonna be reli tough for the warriors. Wonder if kd comes back early from injury even situation gets serious.

Rockets vs thunder: MVP candidate duel plus they are really good friends. Then we got beef between Russell and Beverly, I don't think the crowd in OKC forgave bev yet (he's probably the most hated player after KD).

Jazz vs clips: traditional big men matchups. Will be a tough grinding series to play and for fans to watch.

And after first round, imagine the match up in 2nd of:

Spurs vs clip (jazz fans forgive me): clips usually match up well against Spurs, cp3 may finally get out of 2nd round.

Warriors vs rockets: the game score will be 120+ each every game. Can u imagine the warriors being the team that actually try to slow the game down?

Obviously the standing will fluctuate a lot still, but it's gonna be crazy if it stands

The injuries to Durant and LMA make things a lot more interesting

I want to see Warriors & Rockets head to head, with the winner playing the Spurs in the WCF.

Depending on health and some miracle 3's, Houston actually has a small chance this season. Clippers may be able to upset someone too, although I think its less likely.

With durant the suspense will be less; without durant the intensity will be less.

Without durant, I don't think Russ nor the fans would get much satisfaction even if they upset warriors.

Unfortunately, injuries hit the two best teams in the west. Fortunately, it made those playoffs a lot more interesting.

They'd be swept in 4 ugly games.

OKC/Houston would be fun at least. And I give the Grizz a puncher's chance to take some games.

Having Westbrook automatically gives you a punchers chance to win a couple games. Especially if Durant isn't back.

I'd rather see HOU/MEM and GSW/OKC, mostly because I want to see the style contrast in the first matchup. I've watched a couple HOU/OKC games and just am not a fan of watching two players dominate the offense that much.

If the Spurs hold on to the #1 I will be watching Jazz/Clippers on the edge of my seat because I have full confidence in the Spurs beating the Jazz but see SA/LAC as a toss up

Not against that team, they won by like 20 or more so far, Durant won't do that much. I give them an outside chance to give Houston actual trouble.

Don't understand the hype behind a gsw/okc match up, that's likely a much shorter series than gsw/mem.

Why would anyone want to see OKC-Warriors.... Warriors have absolutely dominated them.

I think OKC would get swept.

Every series should be entertaining. I'll probably watch every single West playoff game and likely zero East games this year until the ECF or other days with zero West games on TV if that happens.

If KD&LMA stay side lined what are the odds that GOATBrook pulls an AI and drags a team that has no business being there to a deep playoff run?
Rest in peace Mamba. There'll never be another Kobe.

The only question that needs answering is will the warriors win one or two games in the Western Conference finals against Denver?

I think they will be able to force a game six

Thunder fans should be wary about having another playoff series against Patrick Beverley
