If we lose tonight were in the 9th spot as far as the draft goes I believe

Hornets have a better Net rating, ORTG and DRTG than the Pacers yet sit 5 places lower in the conference standings, all because the Hornets have been terrible in close games.

The Pacers are coming off an embarrassing loss to the Knicks (they actually lost the season series to NYK, sounds familiar). Their starters played a lot of minutes last night, Charlotte could win this. Will Lamb keep balling out or go into who cares mode? After Cliff tried to embarrass him in the postgame Monday night.

Did he actually mention Lamb by name? If so, that is low, even for an NBA coach. And no, I do not believe this is some sort of motivational tactic. If Lamb was not motivated by starting--the numbers say he put up 26 points with 2 assists, 2 steals, 4 rebounds, and was +8 on the night--a putdown by the coach is not going to do it. Way to destroy a player's confidence, coach.

I can only paraphrase but he had three different things to say:
One guy played a great game offensively but guys think they played a great game all around and their wrong.
Another one was:
A guy who scored a lot of points tonight wasn't there on a rotation in a key point in the game. He says well my bad, well that is why you lose close games.
When asked about Lamb again:
He played a Great Offensive game tonight.
Some were call outs by name but the others were also obvious.

I would say Lamb was not called out any more than the rest of the team was. Cliff laid in to the whole team, talking about how we are finesse team that is not hard to play against and can't make defensive stops down the stretch. He's right.

Coach has basically called out Batum half a dozen times and its fine, but he essentially calls out Lamb and there is an uproar. I dont get it. He could have been referring to Kemba for all we know.

Yup. Nothing about the "scoring a lot but team playing bad" comment is completely directed at JLamb imo. At least I didn't take it that way when I heard him say it.

Lets see if he comes back in at the top of the 2nd quarter. We all know Clifford's preset robo rotations are strict.

I guess Lamb will get blamed for those last 3 defensive lapses even though he had nothing to do with them.

I saw that the other day. It's actually a remarkable stat and something that makes me feel better about the future. It makes it seem like we are closer than we are. Our record sucks and we are what our record is. But if this season leads to a top 10 pick in a deep draft and then we can fix our bench next season there's a good chance we could be right back in the mix for a top four seed in next years playoffs.

Re: GT: Hornets @ Pacers Wed Mar 15 7PM EST
A tank to end this season could be one of the best things to ever happen to this franchise. We have so many valuable contracts locked up and to add a gem in a loaded draft could push us to the next level.
Pulling for Twolves, Kings, Trail Blazers, Pelicans, and Mavs tonight. All games look good except for the Mavs so far.

I love and embrace the tank, just wish we hadn't traded for Plumlee. We need wing talent.
