Re: Around the League
SJ doesn't "dominate the game" . For most of the season, you didn't even notice him on the floor.
But just for sake of argument, what perimeter player is dominating the game without scoring, rebound, assisting, blocking shots, or getting steals?

Ummm I didn't say he's dominating the game - I said it's possible to dominate a game without scoring
And since you obviously mis-read my post I don't see the point in continuing.
I will say that I've seen Pat Beverly dominate many games without scoring much, along with quite a few defensive minded players.
Being a quality team defender AND secondary ball handler is that spot where a guy can dominate a game without scoring...lool at Iguodala and what he brings to the table

Hey, look at the level KAT is playing right now. We don't have any nearly talented player who is drawing double teams in every possession. Rubio is just looking so much confidence than ever and hanging with those young fellas. But still think our half court offense with Rubio and Dre on the court would be a nightmare for us.

I think it's a risk worth taking. Rubio has been absolutely balling this month, I think he racked up a triple double 2 games ago. Guy is all heart and makes his team so much better. If Dre buys into "Rubio-ball" and he turns into a monster garbage man, then I think we'd look really good.
With Ish backing Rubio up, the defenses would always be tired trying to keep up with either one of Rubio or Ish out on the court. It'd be like 24/7 pace and passing which I think this young team has the legs for.

Don't do that. Rubio is as responsible for their play as anyone else since he's got the ball on a string.
We don't struggle with Ish & Rubio is the same kind of player
I called it early and a lot of folks around here had similar thoughts to you - Rubio has proven you guys wrong!

Re: Around the League
Again, I was who posted Rubio is balling, and I really hope he keeps this level, but KAT is playing at MVP level so is making it easy for him.

This is not directed only at you cause it's a pet hate I have:
Anytime a guy is showing how good he can be people always have to try and marginalize him by saying "he's on a good team", "his team mates are awesome", "it's a hot streak" or some ****.
Just appreciate what he's doing and give him the credit he deserves!
Rubio is killing it cause this is what he can do!
KAT is killing it, Giannis is killing it - can we not pit them against each other in a flame war?
Harden is killing it, so is Westbrook - let's not trash one to make the other look good.
I'm a basketball fan - any dude that is killing it I try and appreciate his play regardless of outside factors

Re: Around the League
Sad thing is, if Rubio keeps this up for the rest of season, then there's no way they're trading him or it'd take a lot more than RJ at this point.
They'd be crazy to give the reins to Dunn or a future draft pick at this rate.

Skal Labissiere is doing great in Sacramento. First 2016 rookie to top 30 this season. Wanted him with the Ellenson pick, had him 10th or 11th on my board and couldn't believe when he fell to the end of the first round.

Re: Around the League
so we had Jordan Crawford in Drive and we let him go to New Orleans, shooting >50% from 3 in his first 5 games.

He's got freedom to reign there because they have limited options
He would not have that same freedom in many other places dude so you're clutching at straws here.
When there is so many real issues why try to create another one?

He could've helped, but hes an instant offense type thats been a poor field goal shooter for his career. Making a big deal about this, is like making a big deal about letting Robert Covington get away. Decent player on a bad team, who shoots pretty poorly.

Re: Around the League
I can't speak for Gores, but I'd always want my third string to push the second, the bench to push the starters.
Perhaps Jordan Crawford would push Bullock and Johnson more than Gbinije and Hilliard. In that case, I wish we'd have him instead.
I'd also want to have NBA caliber players throughout the roster; if my 14th and 15th men are going to wash out after this contract is up, I'd rather find someone that could have some staying power.

Our offense is stagnant; at least he can create his own shot. Or maybe you still believe in Hilliard and Bullock.

Not a believing in Hilly or Benji but that certainly doesn't mean I'm gonna support the idea that the organisation made some crazy error by letting Crawford go
He can be useful in a specific role - one we don't have here for him!

it's a fact that every organization in the league picks from d-league, give minutes to rookies and even second rounder. we are watching the same bull**** since last autumn, SVG only switches Harris and Leuer without a real ratio.

So you're telling me that the organisation with the largest pro scouting department is deliberately sitting on their hands?
Is it possible that what you don't know about Hilliard & Benji is more important than what you do know of random d league prospects?
