Honestly the what motivates Andre Drummond game is getting old to me. Star opposing centers , articles, all star bids, big games.... He just needs to play his heart out 95% of the season. Take 5% off if needed aka KCP style.

If he gave 100% 95% of the time I don't think people would trash him as much...

But for me its him not giving 100% in the off-season to develop that annoys me most

Even if you make the Finals you've got July, August, September to take 4 weeks vacation and see the world and the rest should be devoted to development

If Dre played 100%, 95% of the time he'd be near a superstar. Yet he doesn't.

To me I think he works on stuff in the off-season I mean in an vacuum he developed a hook shot and even got in better shape. I thing he just has low BBall IQ and has no clue how to help the team other than getting rebounds, then on top of that like the others said he is mentally weak and checks out of games for what ever reasons.

Isiah used being slighted by the 92 USA Basketball Team as added motivation to destroy John Stockton on the court.

A dude who used to play for Chicago would use any quote, article, etc as motivation to destroy players. Sometimes he would lie and manufacture reasons to hate players.

Magic watched everything Bird related making him hate Bird for years as motivation to compete against him.

Mark Jackson would gossip to Reggie Miller about what other players were saying about him (most of the time he was lying) to get Reggie good and hyped.

I would be overjoyed if Drummond used this to get him over the hump.

Ummm you just compared Thomas, Jordan, Magic & Reggie Miller - as competitors - to Drummond

Dre is simply not built that way!

IF he had that kind of fire it'd be a different story. He doesn't and is highly unlikely to develop it

In fairness to what I said, my comparison was to the situation where an athlete is motivated by a something perceived as disrespect.

Just wanted to demonstrate that it wouldn't be sad if Drummond drew some motivation from Ujiri's and JV's comments.

Sadly I follow him on instagram lol. And a few times in the last week he's been at some cookie factory place eating up all kinds of cookies. Just looking at him he looks soft. Needs to take his fitness serious and he could be special. Sad and frustrating to see him waste his talents

How did he fair against world beaters like Dwayne Dedmon?

I hope he goes away. Period.
