The next 8 games will decide the season

Post#1 » by The Moose » Sat Mar 18, 2017 2:04 am

The next 8 games for us are

vs Suns

@ Nets

@ Chicago (b2b for us)

@ Orlando

@ Knicks

vs Heat (b2b for us)

vs Nets

@ Bucks (b2b for us)

So 5/8 games are against bottom 5 teams, and the other 3/8 games are against the teams we are directly fighting for a playoff/tanking spot.

All 3 games against our vying teams are b2b's for us, which will make them significantly harder.

I think anything >/= 5, will put us in a pole position for the 7th seed. Anything <5 will make the playoffs a very unlikely proposition.

How many do you guys think we win?

5-3 seems most likely to me, which would put us at 38-39 on the season with 5 games to go.

6-2 is also pretty possible I'm but we haven't done well on the road or B2B games this year so I do think 5-3 is more likely.

Right now it looks like 41 wins might not be enough and I think that's where we are headed finishing the season at .500 with a 41-41 record.

Would be awesome to finish 9th seed then win the Lotto!

Cause if we finish 9th and don't win the Lotto people here gonna go nuts!

Well, based on our up and down season I'll say 4-4 although the domino effect from missing the playoffs is what's needed for the franchise.

I believe SVG knows who/what the problems are but also has to have a good product for downtown. If, we miss the playoffs he can blow it up.

If he needs to blow it up (which he does), then he should be fired. It's his team.

I see us going 3-5. Sigh! I'm hoping for much better but the effort isn't there in the first quarter and by the second half guys completely forget the offensive sets.

One can only dream. I would be genuinely excited for our offseason if we miss the playoffs.

Man if we do miss the playoffs, that would set a lot of things in motion.

Big changes if that becomes true. If somehow the Heat slow down (likely not, they're looking like an unstoppable regular season team) or the Bucks (likely not, Giannis and Khris are rolling) we can squeeze in but I'm not feeling so good for another Cavs sweep.

In fact, it'd be stupid.

Before we blow anything up we should try KCP at point and Stanley at shooting guard as a starter. pistons are not without talent. Coaching is letting this team down big time.

This is what I'm hoping for, but the Pistons love to do the exact opposite of whatever I want.

I guessed 5-3, just because our schedule is super soft outside of 3 games that I think we'll lose.
