You will see younger stars but the issue still remains that the European leagues also notice our young stars and are eager to purchase them for way less than they would have to pay another European team

I thoroughly enjoy watching Andre in net and I hope he stays with the Union but at the same time I cannot deny that he deserves a chance to try and work his way towards playing in one of the major soccer leagues in the world

As it stands right now, the MLS is sort of just a European D-league

I totally agree, but that will change over time.

North America has never been known to settle for second best when it comes to sports. I understand we are probably the 10th to 15th best league in the world right now, but as the salary cup rises so will the level of soccer here. It will take time and patience, but in another 10 years I think these young stars will be staying here, and I also think we'll be attracting much younger players from Europe.

I really hope Andre stays with the team for next season.

For some reason I think Jay Simpson will be a big addition to the team. I would like to see him and Sapong play together.

Sapong doesn't always score goals as much as you'd like from your striker but he does a lot of other things on the field as well. He is very good at gaining control of the ball off of a long pass upfield and keeping the defender off him until he has help to pass it to.

I want CJ to keep doing that, and Jay Simpson can just score the goals

Edu is also coming back with a vengeance

I think the Union could at least advance in the playoffs this year, whether they reach the final is a different story but I can't wait for the MLS to start

My top 3 all time favorite Union players

3- Andre Blake
2- Sebastien Le Toux
1- Cristian Maidana

LETS
GOOOOOOOO

Excited to see the new pieces integrated. Hopefully we can cope out with 3 points.

Ok I can live with a 0-0 road draw in the first game of the year.

- Derrick Jones reminds me of an MLS version of Paul Pogba. This guy is all over the field and will only get better. Really excited to watch him this year

- Jay Simpson didn't get a lot of chances to score. Neither did CJ Sapong, though it was refreshing to see CJ do his little box out move on a defender to keep possession. He's really good at that

- our attacking midfielders didn't play overly well. Herbers didn't really create any good chances and Pontius was MIA a lot of the game. Picault seemed to be out of control with the ball. He's pretty quick, but he does not dribble well at all. Bedoya played the best but kind of gets that award by default.

- Andre Blake is still an amazing goalkeeper, even when he isn't making saves

- our defense seems more cohesive. Rosenberry continues his strong play (saved a goal from being scored as well), and nobody else made any costly mistakes. Derrick Jones also really helps our defense

- wouldn't mind seeing Roland Alberg come into the game in place of Picault. He had a decent year last year even if he got some goals from the penalty spot

All in all, excited about this team

Week three of the MLS Season. Both teams sitting 5, 6 in the conference so should be a good team as both teams try to push up the standings.

I’ve never watched a game. I played soccer growing up but never got into pro soccer.

Do they have a regular broadcast channel?

They do, PHL17 I believe in the Philly area. Plus select games on ESPN.

It's a great sport to watch, plus the fan base in Philadelphia makes it even more fun.

I hope the Union can go on a run and get back into the playoff picture. The are only 4 points out from the 6th seed in the Eastern Conference.
