The St Patty's Day Battle of The Tanks- Orlando Magoc (24-45) @ Phoenix Suns ...
As long as we lose to philly I can handle this win. This team needs a top 5 pick, don't mess this up.

One positive about winning for me was Gordon really showed out. He rebounded from his bad game and had 4 blocks and 17. I love that. He may not be a superstar, but he looks like a starting PF for us for years to come.

We were not gonna lose this game. Suns tank has stepped up big time. I think we will beat Philly too plus win the 2 vs the nets. Hopefully we lose all the rest

Saric has been playing well. Just need Philly to get hot with the 3 ball and we have a real good shot at losing.

Unfortunately, it's a back to back for Philly and we have two days rest so I just don't see it happening.

Yes, but remember - we are usually quite bad after 2 days rest, so this could be a good thing.

These posts are just ridiculous. You guys know that Hennigan would give up his wife, his mother and the entire Magic roster to get a talent like Devin Booker on this team right?
Let's please not forget that this kid is like 20-21 years old and he's already in the record books multiple times.
If anyone here seriously thinks Mario is better than Booker in anyway then I just absolutely feel sorry for you.

Look at tonight empty stats, he score 70 but his defense was terrible, didn't even try

I'd take, every night, a guy making "empty stats" 70 points, over any of our last 5 years rookies.
Every single night.
Do you realize what you sound like when you say that the ability to score 70 in an NBA game is nothing but "empty stats"?

Next thing they'll say is that you're not a true fan because you'd prefer to have a higher pick and draft someone with actual talent instead of rooting to win this late in a completely lost season, to boost the morale of the players. Players which were unable to win 30 games under Vogel's direction and most of them will be out of this team via release/trade/whatever in 2 or 3 years.
It's called homerism. I had it until early March, then threw the towel and started wanting a real sense of direction for this franchise.

There is nothing ridiculous about my post. People had not posted about booker at all until last night when he got to take 40 shots. I have not said that Mario is better either.
What's ridiculous is you saying the magic would trade their roster for booker.

Give me a list of 20 year old NBA players who were as good offensively as Booker and were also good defenders.
Other than maybe LeBron, I can't think of any 20 year old who was a good defender in the NBA.

You don't think they would? Obviously it's not logically possible but if it was, you don't think Hennigan will say "Take anything and everything on my roster for Booker"?
I love Gordon as much as the next guy but Booker is younger and has already accomplished more through year 2 of his NBA career at age of 20 than Gordon has. I think Booker is a better piece to build around than Gordon.
And besides Gordon, Magic have very little else to build around.

No. And it's a really easy decision. Booker has a BPM of -2.6 and a VORP of -0.4. He is passable offensively, but terrible defensively. That means he has to become a much better shooter just to make up for the damage his defense does to the team. Gordon has a BPM of -1.1 and a VORP of 0.4. Those figures will both continue to rise if he is utilized as a big instead of a wing. Gordon has a .488 eFG and a .519 TS%. Booker has a .475 eFG and a .530 TS%. I'd definitely take Booker in a 3-point or free throw shooting contest, but I certainly wouldn't want him dominating the offense for my team. He is young and he will probably improve, but he has to improve a lot to start earning the praise you are giving him.
