Re: 2016-17 Rookie Watch thread
Nice to see a lot of these rookies playing well. The NBA is very exciting right now, a lot of up and coming good young players. The next two drafts will be gravy as well

Ulis is a much better distributor compared to bledsoe. He's thrown so many lobs to chriss and derrick Jones these last few games.

You pretty much gave me a bad angle of the same image I posted.

His left foot is higher in my picture, his foot clearly touches the white line and the yellow area

Re: 2016-17 Rookie Watch thread
Juancho Hernangomez's shot chart for the season. It's crazy how he literally only takes threes or shots at the rim. It's also crazy just how great he is from the right side. 24/48 coming into tonight, and 3/3 so far from that spot in tonight's game. He doesn't qualify due to lack of attempts, but he's shooting 46.4% (39/84) from three for the season right now. Small sample size for sure, but I love what I've seen from him so far.

Saric with 23 points (10-20 fg, 2-4 from 3), 6 rebounds, 4 assists, 2 steals, 0 turnovers.
Hit a few shots at the end of the game to fend off the Celtics.

So we just gonna pretend that didn't just happen? He didn't just dunk on Brogdon, he dunked on the greek freak. The angle on that dunk was nuts. Brandon's lucky he didn't get decapitated by that backboard.

Ingram's gonna be a force once he gains some muscle. Not many people will be able to get clean blocks on his dunks because the ball's around the top of the square at his apex

Caris LeVert reminds me so much of Alec Burks.

Re: 2016-17 Rookie Watch thread
Yeah Saric is easily the ROY at this stage. His stat-line is just so much better than the next guy and it's only getting better as the season winds down. He's going to be a really solid player for a long time I think.
Embiid was the best "rookie", but he's got to be excluded based on how much time he missed, not just this year but also in the 2 seasons he missed to make him eligible this year. I think I would have accepted him winning if no one stood out, but when a guy on his own team is playing so well I think it's only fair to give it to Saric.
Jaylen Brown was coming on strong post all-star break, but he's been poor in his last couple games. Particularly disappointing because they were against lower level teams that he should have been able to standout against. Big game coming up against the Wiz with IT likely out, good chance for him to step up.
Buddy Hield has continued to ball since his trade to the Kings. That trade is going to be so interesting to track as time goes on.

Re: 2016-17 Rookie Watch thread
I always been one of those, who cares about minutes and games played. That being said, I went against my usually code and had Embiid as rookie of the year even though he played very little minutes. My reasoning was just, no other rookie made this season his own. When you will look back at this season, you will remember Embiid before any other rookie by far.
Glad to see Saric coming in late and kinda challenging or erasing that thought. Saric is making this season his own. Been a fan for a long time. Always been underrated athlete, yeah he is under the rim guy, but he is really fast for a power forward, always has been. But people always just care about vertical.

Not in any order and some are simply included because of the subsequent result of the pass, but there are some nifty looks in there. One thing that seems common tho is that he makes the big time passes at the end of games.
