Other teams are resting their vets to develop their young players and lose. While we play our veterans more and try to win.

Adding insult to injury, Dario Saric playing a lead role for the Sixers.

This. I understand guys celebrating when Philly, Lakers, etc. win but we aren't going anywhere until we fix our problems. How many teams are in a worse position than us? I can't think of anyone other than Kings and Nets. We have a gm who keeps signing the worst possible vets and isn't exactly a draft savant, an incredibly dumb coach who keeps playing those trash vets instead of focusing on development even though our season has been over for about 2 months now and that greasy mofo who knows nothing about basketball but that doesn't stop him from sticking his nose where it doesn't belong.

Our only hope is drafting a generational player and I don't see one in this draft. Even if there was one and we were to draft him we would probably surround that guy with the type of supporting cast LeBron had in his 1st stint in Cleveland. Jesus Christ this team is so depressing. :nonono:

The nets are the only team id really put below us

The kings are ran by idiots, but they look to have two top 10 picks to pair with skal, wcs, hield. Even mclemore is improving. Id take that over our team.

The knicks might be another team that is with us though. But they do have porzingis but as long as phil is there forcing the triangle, dont see them going anywhere.

I put the Kings below us simply because of their owner. Good point about the Knicks as well. They have an awful owner too and Phil doesn't seem very bright either. I honestly won't be surprised if the Nets become relevant sooner than all the teams mentioned.

Would be shocked if we beat the Sixers tomorrow. I am very envious of how their team is structured going into the future. Now Colangelo can certainly **** them up down the line like he was doing with the Raptors but Hinkie set him up with a cupboard chock full of assets.

I know that we joke around (at least I hope we are joking) that Frank is only playing the vets to tank but let's be real here, the guy did not sign with us to lose games on purpose. The silver lining is his "coaching" this season may finally allow us to get a legit talent at the top of a deep draft however we could have easily just focused primarily on development and still lose games. That's the depressing part for me. To think Skiles actually was developing the team to play with a never say die attitude (reason why we led the league in close game losses last year), was developing Mario very well (people seem to forget he had a very solid rookie season despite being a raw player) and actually maximized the roster to the best of his ability. The fact I'm even being positive about Skiles just highlights how awful Vogel has been.

If Phoenix can get this W against Detroit today, it'll be huge.

We could have had a strong position at #3 if we had lost to Phoenix. Assuming they win

Celtics struggle without Thomas so much. They almost lost to Brooklyn. They had no clue what to do on offense today. Rozier and Smart are worthless on offense.
6ers are solid. Šarić plays like legit, above average PF right now. Covington is one of most underrated nba players. Half of fans don't even know who he is.

I'm still amazed how bad Okafor is.

Absolutely love Covington. Very nice utility player at SF. Saric reminds me of an in shape Boris Diaw, gonna be a nice glue guy for the Sixers. Okafor is absolute trash. Richaun Holmes has been outplaying him repeatedly.

"Boris walks into the gym one day wearing flip-flops and holding his customary cappuccino, which was a staple for him every morning," Griffin recalled. "It was during pre-draft workouts, so he sees the Vertec [machine] and asks what it is.

"We tell him it measures your vertical leap by determining how many of the bars you can touch. He asks what's the highest anyone has ever gone, and we tell him Amare' [Stoudemire] cleared the entire rack.

"Boris puts down the cappuccino, takes off his flip-flops and clears the entire rack on the first try. Then he calmly puts his flip-flops back on, picks up his cappuccino and walks away, saying, 'That was not difficult."

 McDonalds > nba stardom for him haha

Okafor ... you look at his stats, and they are not THAT bad, but on the floor he looks like lifeless body.

Wow I just checked on that clippers/raptors pick and that really isn't that far off if being a middle of draft 1st rounder

Nobody cares.

Nobody cares that someone we drafted is turning out to be a pretty good player and will most likely end up better than the guy we traded him (plus a first round and second round pick) for?

Then why are we here?
