If Trier is healthy, he is will be way higher. Probably the best SG of this year.

I like Trier a lot, and he could definitely end up in the mid-to-late first round before it's all said and done.

I got to say this one for the Kings is just like mine wishlist
i'm high on Frank Ntikilina, I could see myself if i'm Kings GM taking Ntikilina/DSJ with our first 1st round pick, but you just nailed it with Bridges.
Celtics fan.
We also face the Kings twice in the near future. I think it's time Yabu pays back some of that free money he's been given his entire career and bounces Fox for a nice 2 week ankle sprain.

Metu is too inconsistent to be just out of the lottery, looks decent because he plays with Ball. late first at best.

Are you thinking about Anigbogu? That boy is raw, but he has some real physicality to him. Not sure if he declares though.

Agreed re: Metu. I've matched many USC games this year and Metu isn't someone I'd pick with a mid-first. I'd also don't use any pick for Bacon but this is another story.

Metu has been somewhat inconsistent, but this is a draft where people are talking about guys like Patton, Giles, and Williams as lottery picks. Metu is oozing with potential, and his skill set at close to 7 feet is intriguing. I think he upped his stock more than anyone after the first week of the tourney.

Bacon is a tough one for me. I'm an FSU fan, so I've seen a ton of him. When he is good, he feels like a lotto pick. He can score the ball in any number of ways, has a very savvy offensive game, plays with a ton of effort, and loves to take the big shot. But, that effort isn't there every night. Sometimes he seems to be dogging it, sometimes he doesn't seem to want to defend, and sometimes he'd rather bitch at his teammates than play. At the end of the day though, he is too talented to go undrafted and someone will take him and hope he can keep his head on straight.

Inconsistent effort seems like an understatement. He's lazy and only plays hard in spurts when he feels like it. Then there's his questionable behavior towards his teammates at times. Huge red flag in my eyes. Offensively he's a score-first player who lacks the efficiency to back it up. Yes, he has a versatile scoring arsenal but he's not great at anything. Mediocre from behind the arc, not athletic enough to attack consistently and as a result he likes to resort to his midrange game - and he's not even that good at it (short under 40% in jumpers inside). This simply isn't the way to make an impact in the NBA as a Guard. He's Carmelo Anthony without the size and worse shooting. To be honest, I'd rather bet on Terance Mann to develop his jumper enough to contribute at the next level than on Bacon to be even an average NBA player - and that should tell you everything. But maybe he proves me wrong. Who knows.

Re: Metu. I'm not saying he has no chance to be a solid rotation player. But I wouldn't bet on it. He's limited on both ends of the floor at the moment. For him to have a chance at the next level he must be a good defensive player and I question his ability to get there consistently. He lacks length, strength and defensive instincts as a 5 and I doubt he's going to be a valuable player as a PF. I'm rooting for him, though. Seems like a good dude on the court.

I don't totally disagree regarding Bacon, but I still think there is too much talent there not to have him get drafted. I think Mann is next year's breakout Seminole player. He has a lot of talent and it should be front and center next season.

Metu's defense hasn't caught up to his offense, but man is he skilled on offense. A plus athlete with really developed post moves, and an above average free throw shooter. I can see him being a 15 ppg. guy at the NBA level, but his defense does need to get better and his consistency needs to improve. But, which bigs in this draft can't we say that about?

With the right mindset and playing style I could see the appeal with Bacon. But imo he's not nearly talented enough to justify a pick with the concerns I have - namely his high usage, lack of defensive effort, poor attitude, no regard for efficient spots and shots on the floor and the absence of any truly reliable trait such as passing, athleticism or court awareness.

I really hope Mann can break out next year. His shooting form looks much better than the results so I hope for further improvement in this area. And I really like the rest of his game, he is all about winning.

The problem with Metu is that without a reliable shot from behind the arc and without and the lack of playmaking it makes his offensive much less intriguing. Post game, for instance, is a nice-to-have but nothing that really gets you into the league any longer. And his post game isn't good enough to justify offensive primacy in an NBA offense which would be required to get anywhere close to 15 PPG. In the NBA he would be an above-the-tim type of player who might get to shoot open shots on occasion. Maybe he improves but I hope he stays at USC and develops his game because I don't see a NBA player yet when I watch him.

Just like FSU - mainly because of Isaac - I watched a ton of USC games. The most intriguing player is still Melton for me despite a rather poor finish to the season offensively. Hopefully he improves his shooting enough - and gets to handle the ball more - to be on the NBA radar after next season. Metu should stay another year but if he sees a chance to be a first round pick then he should take it and hope for patience of the team that picks him.

I think with the showing he just had against Motley, the time is right for Metu to make the leap.

I honestly think Boston will draft Jackson, we love players that can defend and switch multiple positions and I think the PG spot in the NBA in general is the most saturated spot.

It is certainly possible, especially if Jackson keeps playing at the level he currently is.
