It's just clarifies a lot of questions I previously had in life when i was younger. Like why is the world system run the way it is. If our govts or people especially with great wealth and power really did have best interest for he people..why is it that they can't come together for the greater good of mankind and end world hunger, war, drug human trafficking etc. Why do we still hear the atrocities committed by people in our inner cities women children being raped and sold people working slave wages for the rest of lives or children being trained to be soldiers to kill fellow brethren? They have plethora of money and resources to solve these problem mostly caused by lopsided financial imbalances..so why don't they? Youre probably asking how does that pertain to flat earth..basically my epiphany came after my revelation of our earth being flat motionless plane and not the spherical earth we have been taught from school. The evidence for flat earth is profound and compelling if you care to search. It made me think that if they lied to us about something so monumental and integral as the place of our existence what else could they possibly have lied about. Come to find out through exhaustive research all the pieces of the puzzle started coming together and everything started to make sense. They never did have the best interest for the people..they want the poor weak the people and those that really have no real significance in society to kill themselves off..less people on earth more resources for them. They used pseudo science to deceive society by teaching false theories in public education school systems by inhibiting our abilities to think critically for ourselves. Without this ability to think forvourselves we are mindless slaves and they basically gain control over us for their monetary gain (taxing everything for and keep us in debt/slave cycle)bc they are the supposed gatekeepers of knowledge and we look to these "scientists" for all the "answers". They keep feeding us lies so we stay asleep in their matrix. It seems crazy but the further you investigate you quickly realize it's no faux but rather the cold hard reality that we live in. Fortunately we have thousands of people awakening all over the world that can see through the fraudulent criminal scam they been pulling on us for years and might be on brink of truth revolution. I didn't want to go to deep considering this is a basketball forum but bc you asked I felt compelled to share.
I agree learning about the Earth is important. People should learn and know about where they live.
I also agree people should look at the science and find out for themselves. No theory should be thrown aside without being given a proper look. People should absolutely review the evidence on the concept of flat Earth. It's important.
That said, I don't see the evidence as all that compelling at all. I've done the research. I've watched Eric Dubay's Youtube video and read a good portion of his stuff. I've also read work from others, most of whom aren't people who follow modern scientific principles (Eric Dubay is a writer and part time yoga/kung fu instructor). Honestly, I don't see it. The things they say really don't make much scientific sense to me.
Is the Earth flat? Maybe, but having spent a good amount of time on the research, there really isn't very much scientific evidence. Most of it stems from the ideas you have outlined here. The idea scientists and governments around the world are lying to us seems to be the best argument, and that isn't a scientific one at all. I'm willing to bet the government lies about a great number of things, but, honestly, that needs to be thrown out in order to look at the evidence objectively. If you come from that perspective, your research isn't unbiased.
To add to this, Flat Earthers tend to respond just as harshly as people who people who don't believe in flat Earth theory and can be just as dismissive. I've had numerous conversations with people who follow Flat Earth theory attempting to discuss the science. Most of those conversations typically end in me being called all kinds of names and suggestions of me being too close minded to understand, often when they run into something flat Earth theory can't explain as well as traditional science.
Anyway, I have no interest in continuing to debate the issue, especially here. I've been involved in enough discussion about it. My point is two fold:
1. No one should write off any theory until they do the research
2. No one should allow their feelings about the government to influence their understanding of the science itself.
