Bears bringing in Sanchez for a visit. Possible back up over Shaw and Fales.

He's probably better than Shaw definitely better than Fales. Sometimes he's good sometimes he's bad. Hopefully, if we sign him we'll never have to find out if he'll be good or bad for us. I think there are some better options

I hope this means we won't draft a QB in the first round. It doesn't really look like any of them is worth drafting that high.

That's what I hope too. 2nd would be ok. 3rd or 4th would be just right for this draft imo

Sanchez was a decent back up before his shoulder injury. Now his arm is hot garbage

Since the last time he got significant playing time which was in philly where he stepped in nicely for them.

Just because people still make fun of him for the butt fumble doesn't mean he's bad.

He was still bad in Philly running Chip Kellys offense loaded with weapons . Its not about making fun of him hes is not a good qb at all.

these are his stats during his time in philly

2014: 64.1 completion % 2,418 yards, 14 TD, 11 INTs, 88.4 passer rating

2015: 64.8%, 616 yards, 4 td, 4 int, 80.7 rating.

Those aren't bad for a back up. and he had those numbers in spite of kelly's offense.

Are those great numbers? obviously not. But are they terrible or laughable? No.

Yay Mark Sanchez!! Why draft Trubisky when you can have the original! J/k. I think this means we won't be getting a QB this draft.

Rg3 or johnny manziel, then fitzpatrick.
Or two of these guys.
The qb position doesnt grow on trees.
If they are targeting sanchez because he is a minimum contract sort of guy then i understand. It would be a good signing but rg3 and manziel have more upside.

I understand manziels party rep, but i hope chicago can give him the spotlight he craves while still being responsible off the field.

If all these guys are minimum contract guys then sign all 3 and cut glennon.

The Bears have shown they're not dealing with guys that are controversial or adversarial. Ratliff, gone. Marshall, gone. Gould, gone. They cleared out veterans who wouldn't get with the program.

They brought in Hoyer to be the backup, and essentially act as an additional qb coach. That's what most veteran backups do: help the starter prepare, help the younger guys develop, all while getting just enough reps to play in a pinch. He filled the role extremely well. Reports said we were interested in bringing him back, but he got an offer to start, so he left.

If you don't go with the veteran backup who is like an extra coach, you go with a young, hungry, smart qb who can develop and compete. Manziel and Griffin aren't smart or hungry, so they most likely will not develop.

Manziel is the biggest headache the league has seen in years. And everything I've read about RGIII says he's not big into film study. No.

Sanchez has shown he can perform in a pinch. He's been involved involved in several offenses and still produced adequately. I don't think k he's the most talented qb, so it must be because he absorbs the playbooks well. So he's smart. That's what you want.

He was horrible in Philly those numbers dont make him serviceable when you consider what he was surrounded with at the time .

The Broncos traded for him and then cut him because they decided they would rather go with Austin Davis who they then cut in season LOL and now is a free agent .

This franchise is in disarray .

He's not horrible, that's just not true. He's serviceable.

And how exactly is this franchise in disarray because we signed Sanchez to be a 2nd or 3rd QB to a one year deal?

Hes not even serviceable because it has no real direction because Pace is shaping up to be worse than Emery at this point . If I sign enough low tier talent in free agent maybe one of them will be comeback player of the year while I try and build a team solely through the draft ?

I cant believe it but at this point this teams is worse than last years team .
