Hilarious. I'm sure the league does something about sitting players soon.

Why would we want to trade away arguably the best player in the draft for the LA rejects?axl_c_cool wrote:I looked at the remaining schedule, I think we'll finish with 28-30 wins, the biggest worry is New York. I think Philly and Sacramento have 29-31 wins in them, New York don't have an easy schedule and tanking it hard. Outside of winning the #1 pick I'd love to get #2 and take LA out of the top 3 with someone else jumping to #1. If we did that then held LA ransom for Ball and ended up with a pick swap, Clarkson, Ingram, and Randle (I think they'd give up that for him) for Bull and selected Tatum at #4 that would be amazing
I'd then look to trade #23, Vucevic and/or Fournier to Sacramento for their #6 and/or #9 and target Ntilkinas and Hartenstein and draft and stash them both
Payton/Clarkson
Ross/Hezonja
Tatum/Ingram
Gordon/Randle
Biyombo/Zimmerman
I really like those lineups moving forward, scoring and defence in both. I also like that it gives us a year to look at the players until the 2 draft and stash guys come over. The pressure is off that young team, and at least they'd be fun to watch!

The Knicks lose to the nets twice in one week and were fighting as hard as we can to comeback in overtime against one of the worst teams in the league. I can't wait until this franchise isn't so clueless and has a direction again.

The only win against a Phoenix Suns team that was beating us until they put in their 3rd stringers/10-day contract players in late in the game. We lost to Brooklyn and got trounced by Chicago in a game that supposedly had playoff implications. Reggie has been benched. Both he and Andre have mentally checked out. I mean, it's possible that they check back in, but I'm just saying, you've got a tough game ahead of you if you're looking to add/keep your lottery balls.

Other teams don't have a GM who's fighting as hard for their job as Rob is
He should suck up his pride and go full tank mode.. He would become a martyr-like figure in Magic lore if we lost out the rest of the season, gets canned, then we get the #1 pick

This. Hennigan has no incentive to tank at all. Other GMs can benefit from a few extra losses, but it seems unlikely that Hennigan will be making the pick regardless of where it ends up.

i get that. just curious though. Vogel knows he will be here next year though (unless you believe a new GM will get the freedom to fire Vogel after one year to pick his own coach). In that case I can see Vogel coaching for more wins. But if Vogel knows he's staying he is still coaching the team on a day to day basis so he can sit guys without Hennigans permission no?
