Watching the DX vid, they do talk about him being pretty immature and a hot head. That is probably my biggest concern. But if he hits, the Bucks could play a "small ball" line up

PG: Brogdon
SG: Middleton
SF: Giannis
PF: Maker
C: Hartenstein

Or put Giannis at the PG and Parker in at the 3...that could be some wildly entertaining basketball.

eeeh good luck with Maker defending in space full-time against basically wings at the 4, or Hartenstein, that is not a small ball line up whatsoever.
Giannis is much better suited, both on D and O as a 4, surrounded by 3 perimeter guys that can shoot and a big that can finish and spot up.

Agreed - and that is the largest smallball lineup I've ever seen.

Hartenstein is a real good prospect, but it's gonna take him a long while to get acclimated to the NBA. If I'm the Bucks, I don't have that kind of patience - I'm already using it on Maker.

yeah, thing is that's not even skill ball, Hartenstein can dribble and get to the rack against slow footed Cs doubt he can do that against 4s, and Maker can't do that at all, not quick/fluid enough.
Maker looks like a prototype stretch 5 if he can get good enough as a shooter, looks good, and as a defender, looks raw but that was to be expected, Isaiah is a driving 5, which is useful if you are amazing at it (Towns, Cousins) but not so much if you are average, your IQ isnt there and your defense comes and goes, I like Hartenstein but his awareness/consistency is so so low that it's difficult to me seen him as a starter although he certainly has potential on both ends, with the way he rebounds, sees passing lanes and moves his feet.
Has some poor man's DMC in him, last guy they said that about was Okafor, so beware, those guys need to hit all the boxes to be workable, not real middle ground there.

I'm getting on the Jarrett Allen bandwagon. He's got wingspan for days yo.

Any potential in the NBA?

As a huge Badgers fan who has seen almost every game Happ as played the last two years the answer at the moment is NO!!! For one thing although he's listed at 6'10 he's probably an inch or so smaller. Not a great leaper but does have long arms. Not real strong but very aggressive and can put the ball on the floor. He's very quick and mobile and outquicks and outruns bigger, slower centers.
One HUGE problem is the fact that he can't shoot outside three feet from the basket, and he's a bad ft shooter. He's only recorded ONE basket outside the lane this past season, and the home Madison crowd almost gave him a standing ovation.
So while I'm a huge fan of Badgers Happ, I think his pro prospects are extremely limited unless he really improves, I should say gets an outside shot. I'm talking about just a shot in the 12-15 foot range.
