Full on tank. Might as well see what we have in these two.

SVG is likely too busy being a master of panic and stuffing his fat mouth with hoho's to make this logical change.

They should at least both be major rotational players at this point. It's clear this rotation isn't working, so the fact that he hasn't at least tried something else is a bit mind-boggling

Well we all know SVG is stubborn to a fault, I think he's a bit too old school to give mins to young guys unless he has to.

I honestly think at this point he's trying to salvage trade value for most of our starters so we can explore options on the market once the draft rolls around. If this isn't the case, then welp.

I would start Ellenson but as a center. Bench Drummond! He can't defend worse than Andre and he can strech the floor and he is not a liability with a poor free-throw shooting.

We've lost like our last 6 of 7 or something like that so if we're "tanking" we're best off doing what we're doing.
If I was SVG I'd start Baynes and have Boban back him up. And force Drummond to play 3rd string lol. Same with Ish starting and Beno backup. With Reggie being forced to come in for a few minutes as 3rd stringer. I'm more concerned with Drummond than Jackson though to be honest. Jackson legitimately jumps off his off leg to go up for layups. He has no strength in that left leg of his.

Supposedly, Johnson walked away from Van Gundy out of spite during a timeout.. At this point he's looking liking a major bust considering Booker looks like the next Kobe. That will be a pick that will haunt this franchise for 10 (or more) years. Especially since Booker was a Michigan kid. This is a depressing team and Johnson is a major disappointment. He's had enough minutes to see if he has (it).. he doesn't.

Exactly, god bless the kid for playing with energy but he can't shoot, dribble or jump. SVG/bower has made decent to very good trades but overall their overall moves have lead to a mediocre team.

Last year Stanley Johnson tweeted something negative towards a Pistons fan that said we should have drafted Booker over him. Wonder how Stanley feels about that after seeing Booker drop 70.

Why do we still have Beno Udrih? He racked up CD-DNPs since December. We are just about out of the playoffs, and would be better served bringing in a D-League PG for a look.

Its cool that he scored 70 and he is young and talented. But I think its crazy that he scored 70, the Suns lost by ten, and the rest of the Suns scored 20 fewer points combined VS Booker by himself. Whatever Suns are a mess this year and I really hope they stay terrible for a long time.

Awww c'mon! Stanley Johnson is playing like a perfectly decent 2nd round pick!

to be fair, stanley hasn't exactly been put in a position where he can maximize his strengths. he's a decent midrange and a capable outside shooter, but he's not a floor-spacer by any means, and he's often put in lineups where the floor-spacing is average at best.

his biggest strengths offensively are his ability to operate out of the P&R, mostly hitting the roll man or open shooter, attacking the rim in transition, and just being a glue guy willing to make the extra/correct pass.

obviously, his defensive prowess is noted, and i honestly believe his shortcomings on this end are overblown by SVG because of his commitment to morris and stubbornness to really shake up the rotation. he'll never score 70, but he'll lock down his fair share of stars in his career, i'm sure of it.

You know how if you say Beetlejuice three times he'll appear?
Well, I think we have a reverse situation on our hands, and every three times we say "King Henry" he gets a DNP-CD.
We should really stop saying King Henry. Just to, you know, see what happens.

SVG doesn't believe that handing bulk minutes to young kids makes them better.

He believes that IF they show and prove good habits in practice then you give them minutes...

That's all fine and dandy when you're a winning team with quality vets.

When you're a Lotto team with a seriously flawed roster the kids might actually be better off getting consistent playing time so they get a real opportunity to show and prove.

I'd guess the reason they're not starting is because we're still only 1 game out of a playoff berth. As horrendously frustrating as this team has been, there's still a chance. Alternatively, we're tanking and starting those guys could screw things up. :D

ZERO confidence in svg. Increased talent as gm but there is no chemistry. Better talent but does not have vision to put each player in position to succeed. Svg is as much the problem as dre, reg or anyone else.

SVG's antiquated coaching outlook. Yeah, all that playing time really held back all those superstars and good players in the history of the NBA. LeBron definitely could have used a couple years riding the pine.

To be fair he's not the only coach that thinks that way.

There's a fine line between having a tight leash and giving the player "enough" freedom

The irony here is rich.
Comments to rationalize bad contracts -
1) It's less than the MLE
2) He can be traded later
3) It's only __% of the cap
4) The cap is going up
5) It's only __ years
6) He's a good mentor/locker room guy

Ah you must be one of those fools eager for a meaningless playoff birth/sweep.

Get with it. Only picks can save this team.
