Why is Christon getting these minutes?

Indiana already hired their new coach, unfortunately.
I want Scotty back.

One might say because we're wasting 5 million just so we could have him on the roster. A more reasonable explanation might be that our coach is a **** idiot who's way out of his depth coaching at the NBA level. Take your pick.

Worst part is how there's nothing new to say. Like, we all know the issues this team has. They've been well discussed.
And yet there's just no real hope that they'll get fixed. And I just don't see how it gets better.
Say we trade Russ for a brooklyn pick and Brown, or whatever it is. Then we have a bunch of young talent under the command of Donovan. So we lose there.
We keep Russ and we're stuck with the **** roster building and **** coaching.
We're banking ENTIRELY on Oladipo and Adams becoming reliable 2nd and 3rd options. And that prospect is looking increasingly shaky.

That's being generous....he's cost them a good 10-15 pts on offense, literally missing open layups. His defense has really made a difference tho. You hafta factor that in, he's contesting shots hahaha
I know Roberson's advanced stats say he's a net-positive player, but it's games like this one that make you really question that. The issue with Robes goes beyond anything measurable. Defenses can completely abandon him which is something that can't be put into an advanced stat formula. He's so hilariously bad on offense, that defenses can just let him stand around the perimeter and act like he doesn't exist. That murders spacing and offensive flow even more so than the Perkins days because Perkins' man wouldn't normally be on the perimeter anyway.
I'm still not as down on Roberson as others, but sometimes he's just infuriatingly awful on the offensive end. I mean he might be the first perimeter player in NBA history that Hack-a-Player is a viable strategic option.

Kanter has been way better defensively than Adams.

Oladipo is better than Adams but I agree. Adams does nothing. I suppose he sometimes manages to get in the way of a guy but it doesn't prevent them from scoring. Kanter is cheaper and can actually handle contact and hold on to the basketball.
