Re: UCF Basketball (21-11): NIT Round 2 @ Illinois State, Monday 7pm (ESPN)
Does anyone know why ucf would get home court advantage over Illinois if they were to win? Ucf is a 4 seed Illinois is a 2? So how come they get home court as the lower seed?
GO MAGIC

They booked their venue for something else.

The seats held for season ticket holders that didn't pickup the option on their seats were just released. Good seats to be had!

It looks like less than few hundred remain. Unless TM isn't showing everything should be a sell out.

UCF has been holding back seats throughout the sale and releasing chunks. That said, I don't think much is actually left. Good news as well is the students are invested:

Terrific team effort over Illinois tonight.
Great crowd, very engaged throughout. And a sellout with only 1.5 days to sell tickets.
Glad I was there as this was a truly memorable night in school history.
The students rushing the court was deserved .... embracing a team that had less than minimal expectations coming into the season.
NYC and Madison Square Garden is next against TCU.
Well done by all.

Basketball is driven by three principles:
1) Movement 2) Application of fundamentals 3) Predictability

Re: UCF Basketball (22-11): NIT Round 3 vs Illinois Wednesday at 7pm
Terrific game, glad I was able to make it. Atmosphere was great, team played great. If it weren't for the turnover margin (+10) it'd have been a huge blowout. But that's what happens when you've got starters playing so much with no depth and few players that can handle the ball. +17 on the rebounds. Illinois only had 19 FGs in the game, and 12 of them were from 3! The only reason it was somewhat close at the end was that they had 13 extra FGAs.
Props to the team for making their FTs tonight as well and making sure Colorado didn't happen again. I cringed when BJ took a somewhat nasty fall with a minute or so left in the game trying to make sure he got to the FT line. Can't afford to lose anyone, especially BJ. Glad I got to see Matt Williams drain a few more 3s on the home court, going to miss that limitless range next season!
Wish I could make it up to MSG for the Final Four. I know a few people that are planning to go. TCU will be a tough opponent, they beat Kansas in the Big12 Tournament (granted they were short handed their best player, but still).

Illini had a court conflict. So UCF "stepped in" to "help."

UCF Played a great game (Minus some offensive stagnancy in the 2nd half). TCU was just too much. Next year should be a lot of fun and really impressed with Dawkins.
