With Juancho the ball moves more as well. The second is Jameer. While he had a very good game, you need to give Murray more minutes at PG.
Portland and Denver rivalry will continue especially after Nurk's comments and TC needs to do something to bring in leadership. If Dwyane Wade opts out, OVERPAY the hell out of him unless you can nab a guy like Otto Porter or Kyle Lowry.
I personally think Chandler, Gallo, and Barton as well as Nelson need to be gone this summer. I am not impressed with Chandler's attitude a couple of times this summer, Barton does not fit well with the scheme they want to run, and Gallo and Nelson both seem to be too selfish and want to be the star more than they want to win.
Also I have very limited interest in Wade this summer, I do not like that he has been in the center of all the issues in Chicago as their locker room seemed to fall apart and their season went to hell. I would much rather just go young, not bring in a star but guys who would make good 3rd stars long term and are still growing.
I think Gallinari has made efforts to fit into the scheme (most of the time); but I still think he needs to leave. He really doesn't fit into the long term plans and he deserves to play on a different team.
I love Chandler's all-around ability and his effort (usually). I also think he needs to leave simply because he deserves a chance to play and he doesn't fit into Denver's long range goals either.
Barton & Nelson are the two veterans that are the worst fit with the Nuggets' plan to have the offense center around Jokic.
There are two problems with all of that seems to be the extremely high likelyhood that TC resigns Gallinari and "can't find" an acceptable deal for Barton or Chandler and especially Nelson. The second problem is that Malone will still play all four of those players for 30+ mpg.

While it's a subtle troll it's pretty telling.....No way all those guys would line up to embrace Malone. You shipped the most passionate player the Nuggets started the season with to a division rival and he just $h1t all over us.

My observations:
- POR wanted it more PERIOD
- The Nurkic trade gave the Blazers EXACTLY what they needed and more. Trading Nurk within our conference was plain stupid, let alone to a division rival. POR now has a Big 3 that we will have to deal with for years to come, great foresight there
- Jokic is definitely more cerebral yet more passive than Nurk.
- Plumlee isn't worth over $12M a year
- Gallo never steps up for big games. He's an above average player 80% of the time, but he doesn't have the fortitude to be a Batman or a Robin, more of an Alfred IMO. I like Gallo, would resign him to his current rate but $18M+ isn't befitting of his disappearing act during big games. Big Game Hunter my ass !
- We're not done building. This loss put us back into the lottery, where we should be. I know the FO had sights on the playoffs (then why did they make our direct competition better ?) but we really need to continue to build with better players. This was a playoff type game and we got spanked, clear we don't have the consistent talent to get to the next level, our vet didn't step up and our youth doesn't have/isn't getting the experience they need at this level.
- Youth needs to be served. With our schedule looking dismal to our playoff chokes,,,er, I mean hopes looking down, we need to play our young guys and see what they can do. The short-sighted stupidity of the FO traded away a prime 1st (again, to a division rival
) because they didn't want to get any younger, yet they're foregoing talent to avoid it.
- Many have said Malone needs to go, but who do replace him ?? If we can find a better coach I'm all for it but seems that'd be a crapshoot. Very few solid established candidates exists IMO and it'd be a lateral move (at best)

Will Portland be able to resign Nurkic? They already have the highest payroll come the off season.
What is impressive about Denver is how low their total salaries are. They don't have the bad contract clogging their roster like Portland.

The more I think about it the Nurkic trade has to be the worst trade Denver has made, and Denver has been doing very well with drafting talent to their credit. I said it when the trade was made, Denver gave away younger and better talent and added a first round pick with it as well. I mean really? who was smoking what when this deal was made? should have showcased nurkic off the bench this year, made the playoffs and move him in the offseason for comparable young talent. Instead we trade him to Portland a team in the division and add a first rounder.. WOW.. plumlee is a decent player, but no way did denver need him and certainly was not good value for what they gave up A game behind now with most of the games on the road? that one game is going to haunt Denver and I hate that..

Well if Mavs would let us, i would have M. Hunt in mind...He had time to learn from great coach, and players always liked him here in Denver..

I like Melvin Hunt too, but there's nothing to make me strongly believe he is an upgrade over Malone. He's a different coach and may or may not work out, but it's still a crap shoot to make that move.

Well, we just need a coach to work with a strenghts of this team, if one can do that, he is already better than Malone..
