I don't know why he felt a need to change his mentality and take over when we simply needed to play our regular game. Now, if no one else was clicking or we had a large deficit to overcome, sure go for hero ball, but it wasn't needed here. It was poor decision making/selfish play.

Look, Brook is not the guy who can give you 35 points a night and usually gets cold in the final minutes(the only other time he scored 35+ pts in a game this season, he had 7 pts in the 4Q, but we lost.), we have already known it. It takes another guy to step up his game not trying to be the hero, but to win the game. Lin was just trying to stay aggressive. Kenny had called 2 plays for IW in the last 4 minutes so it's not like Kenny only asked Lin to take all the scoring loads and be the hero.

Lin's USG% and performance has been Linsanity in the 4th quarter the whole season and we did benefit from it.

PS. we went 1-5 in the games when Brook scored 30+ pts this season, the only victory was against the Pistons that Jeremy Lin was still playing in.

Linsanity can also include becoming a passing PG and making his teammates and their 'stats' individual and team better. Lopez also just hit his first buzzer beater and has been playing well in the fourth and was all game. He was frozen out by teammates. Don't play him if he's not gonna score. I want to see Lin focus on defense, passing and rebounding. Hate seeing him shoot pull up 3s or not dribbling with his head up. Kidd spoiled me. Lin has the talent but has to play more in control and pass more.

pass even he is open and being one of the best players in this team? Nah... I don't get that.

To be fair, you defer too much and then you get criticize for being too pass-happy (a la Chris Paul). Not to say he shouldn't have passed, but it is a tough balance to strike and there is no coming out looking good if the team ends up with a Loss.

Control closing the game like he did the Hawks game. Lin didn't get the balance right in this game.

This is completely legitimate criticism. No one on the team or coaching is the team is above criticism. Lin should have looked to distribute more in the 4th, he admitted that he played poorly, and hopefully he will learn from this.

I don't think Lin apologized for taking the shots - he said he should've made them. When you have open looks, you take them. I didn't watch the game so don't know if he was forcing shots but if they're open shots, I wouldn't fault him with taking those shots. I fault him for not making them.

Most of the shots he missed were wide open. Most of the game he fed Lopez well. And most games he's done well down the stretch. This game, hopefully, the coaching staff points out what he didn't do right, Lin takes his notes, and he does better down the stretch in others. I'm not worried, Lin down the stretch is usually solid.

I listened to the full audio - he actually was very content with his shot selection. He just have to hit them. The 6ers probably took away Brook and dare Jeremy to beat them and Jeremy couldn't. Unfortunate outcome ultimately but I like his confidence coming out of this and the fact that he's not apologizing for his shots. You don't really want your shooter to second-guess their shot. If there's a good look, you should have the confidence to take it and make it.

Lin would had 3FTs. That easily would had 5 points swing.

Lin has been a major threat shooting off WIDE-OPEN among 52 active ball-handlers this season:

Although Lin is not very good at shooting OPEN shots from beyond the arc (about average among 53 active ball-handlers), he has been quite decent as a 2 PT open-shot creator AND taker in this league:

Remind me how many assists Lin had in this game? Tell me which shot he took was a bad selection? Lin himself said he didn't regret taking any of the shots. He just wish he'd made them. Brook has a history/habit/trend of starting hot and getting cold in the 4th. What worked in 1Q doesn't necessarily work the same in 2, 3, 4... And the L2M report pointed out that Lin did not travel so he was wrongfully credited for a turnover. His jumpers were not falling so he tried to drive and draw fouls. You call it stupid, I call it adjustment.

I have no issue with Lin being aggressive on his shots like he was in that game. Lin won't get anywhere by playing timid. He's one of the two best players on the team, he HAS to look for his own shot especially when things get hairy. He's just got to convert.
