I don't know why he felt a need to change his mentality and take over when we simply needed to play our regular game. Now, if no one else was clicking or we had a large deficit to overcome, sure go for hero ball, but it wasn't needed here. It was poor decision making/selfish play.
Look, Brook is not the guy who can give you 35 points a night and usually gets cold in the final minutes(the only other time he scored 35+ pts in a game this season, he had 7 pts in the 4Q, but we lost.), we have already known it. It takes another guy to step up his game not trying to be the hero, but to win the game. Lin was just trying to stay aggressive. Kenny had called 2 plays for IW in the last 4 minutes so it's not like Kenny only asked Lin to take all the scoring loads and be the hero.
Lin's USG% and performance has been Linsanity in the 4th quarter the whole season and we did benefit from it.
PS. we went 1-5 in the games when Brook scored 30+ pts this season, the only victory was against the Pistons that Jeremy Lin was still playing in.
Linsanity can also include becoming a passing PG and making his teammates and their 'stats' individual and team better. Lopez also just hit his first buzzer beater and has been playing well in the fourth and was all game. He was frozen out by teammates. Don't play him if he's not gonna score. I want to see Lin focus on defense, passing and rebounding. Hate seeing him shoot pull up 3s or not dribbling with his head up. Kidd spoiled me. Lin has the talent but has to play more in control and pass more.
pass even he is open and being one of the best players in this team? Nah... I don't get that.
