Game #75: Jazz (45-29) @ Kings (29-45)

Gonna make a game thread, because last two game threads who ducler made, bringed us a W...
Celtics fan.
We also face the Kings twice in the near future. I think it's time Yabu pays back some of that free money he's been given his entire career and bounces Fox for a nice 2 week ankle sprain.

Maybe won't need the tank for this one?

At least Dave Joerger is consistent with his lies. "We're going to play the rookies more", then proceeds to sit Hield the entire 2nd quarter. smh.

Its not in Joerger's DNA to play a guy "just to play him". Gotta earn your time.

Thats why when I heard DJ's vet comment I asked the question "who is left to play?" Because we all know the young guy goes to the bench as soon as he isn't doing what he's suppose to do.

I get it! At the same time, Ben Mac did drop 17 in the first half when we were down by 20+. Cut the lead to single digits. You gotta roll with that! IMO its just as developmental for a rookie to learn that you have to play well to be out on the floor. Ben has outplayed him. Love that his value is going up! LOL

Hopefully Buddy gets going here in the third. They're all over him and our guys don't work well enough off of each other yet to free him up

No idea. If we win, we get closer to the T-Wolves and the 8th spot, but NO drops to 9th. If we lose, NO gets closer to the 11th spot, but we could tie with Philly for the 6th. FYI - if we had lost against Memphis and if Magic would have won today against OKC, it would have been a 4 way tie for the 4th spot. So close...

Buddy is starting and playing 30 mins. Don't think he went back on what he said.

Not even question IMO. I want us to lose. We aren't in jeopardy of losing the NO pick to a top 3 placing at this point but we are 3 games out of the 10th spot with our pick. No brainer.

Statement was made in the first half where Skal, Buddy, and PapaG all played a much more reduced role. They also got most of their minutes in what you would normally consider garbage time. I didn't see any shift here.

Because they were crapping the bed. And still they started and were put back in when it was clear that BMac and Lawson couldn't get us back in the game. They are getting more minutes then they had been getting in the past and more mins than other guys on the team at the same positions. His statement was that they would get more minutes. He didn't say that they would be getting the minutes SacKingZZZ thinks they should get. I mean KK, Afflao and Temple didn't play at all.

He said essentially he wouldn't be running his rotations like he did in the last game playing the vets like that, which for the most part he did do in the first half of this game. It has nothing to do with what I think, or what I said, HE SAID IT.

Come on dude...He didn't run his vet rotations like he did last game. He didn't play KK or Temple AT All. Normal starters. He only played Toliver 15 mins and didn't play AA AT ALL. That is definitely a change in the rotations that he normally runs.

You're just trying to make a big deal out of Hield sitting because Ben was having a good shooting game. You can stop now.

Once again, you are a day late and a dollar short. I made the statement before halftime. You typically have an issue with commenting on time sensitive comments way after the fact. Some of the young guys were in single digits minutes wise up to that point or near it, and in particular I didn't like how PapaG was used. He either got the message at halftime or forgot what he was supposed to be doing all along, by his own credo. And sitting Hield for Ben hasn't been an issue is some games where he's played them simultaneously. Something he did in this game later on as well.
