Draft Day trade:
Dallas out:
Dwight Powell
JJ Barea
Devin Harris
2017 1st

Chicago out:
Jimmy Butler

Or
Dallas out:
Wesley Matthews
2017 1st

Chicago out:
Jimmy Butler

Just a few ideas from the wiretap report saying Butler is good as gone from Chicago.

Butler is still young at age 27 and would be a huge upgrade over Matthews. If Chicago was more inclined for first option then Wes Matthews could be moved to the bench or shopped around.

I would do either of these in a heartbeat.

These are insultingly bad for the Bulls tho. Jimmy Butler is worth way more than this.

The difference between the 8th and 10th pick could be big in this draft. If we get the 8th and Frank, Markkanen and Isaac is still on the board, who do you pick?
Think I'm leaning Isaac, but haven't seen enough of them to be sure.

I'm definitely taking Isaac in that trio but I could see the FO taking Markkanen.
I still think they see a young version of Dirk/Chandler in Markkanen/Noel.

If we lose all games we can still have a top 7 pick... we should definitely lose the Sacramento game now.

This yt-channel is pretty good, has extended highlight clips from all the U18-games Ntilikina played in except the first and two where he played for Strasbourg:

:curse:

Just saw a mock draft that has the Mavericks taking Isaiah Hartenstein with their pick. The reason: He is German.

This is the kind of 8u11$h1+ that infuriates me. Hartenstein is not a lottery pick by any stretch... but to say that Dallas is just going to reach on him just because he is German, and can shoot a little bit, is just stupid. I think I am so mad because deep down I could actually see Dallas making a dumb move like this.

This same mock draft has Dallas passing on Frank Ntilikina, Jonathan Isaac, Lauri Markkanen and Justin Jackson for Hartenstein. #SBNation

That's garbage. I'm as certain as I've ever been about a prospect that Hartenstein will bust. We may end up taking a foreign player, but it'll be Markkanen or Ntilikina.

I hate mock drafts like that. Utter nonsense

I don't see any upside to any of those 3, if we get one of them, I'd consider it a failure.

Personally, I'll be fine with any of the top 5 point guards that could fall, Jonathan Issac, or Terrance Ferguson. I'd just be happy getting away from being undersized at SF, SG, or PG.

Its a crapshoot outside of the Top5. Markkanen could be Porzingis or he could be Hezonija. I just hope that we don't trade the pick unless its for a young Superstar, which won't happen.

Would love to have Isaac here. I actually prefer him over Markkanen, but he needs to work on his strength in order to have success in the league... he will get bullied on the defensive end at the moment.

He looks like he could be very solid if mentored and used correctly.. Having Dirk (and Holger?) as mentors would definitely help him tons though. I havent seen too much of him outside of the tournament and YouTube highlight reels, so I can't really say.. From what I've seen, he looks better than Hezonja though.

I dont understand why people say that its just a 6 men draft? I dont think so at all tbh. Well it depends on what positon you are focusing.

What do we need? IMO we need a above average PF! Damn, when was the last time we had a decent PF next to Dirk? Overrated Antoine Walker with his 40% from the field?
Ridiculous overpaid Powell dont cant shoot and will develop AT BEST to an "ok" spot up shooter, but i predict that he wont develop to a versatile big man who can beat you off the dribble and creating consistently for himself Brussino? well maybe, but he needs to work like a beast during offseason and he is only devleopping into a spot up shooter right now. SO for me its Markkanen, but i guess im overrating him due to his highligh clips

We need everything so it should be bpa, i dont see us being set at any position, even barnes and noel are both role players so if we can get better at either of those positions im fine. Please no big white guys, i can't remember the last white big that went to college in america was an all star, larry bird, thats about it for a while

We simply need to get a top 10 pick. I've said it before but there is a huge drop off between 10 and 11 (vs 7 to 8). I believe we are #9 now, but easily could fall to #10 with some wins in the last week. We also could get as high as 6 with some help from Minnesota, Sacramento, & New York (though I'm not optimistic).

TOP 4
Markelle Fultz
Lonzo Ball
Josh Jackson
Jayson Tatum

TOP 7
Malik Monk
De'Aaron Fox
Dennis Smith

TOP 10
Lauri Markkanen
Jonathan Issac
Frank Ntilikina

I'm not personally a fan of any of the last bucket, and would love for Dallas to get into the top 7 (sans Malik Monk; he makes no sense for Dallas with Seth Curry and I don't see him being a great NBA player).
