What do you mean that now he tries on defense? He was back-to-back DPOY in the Spanish league at 17, and one of the best defensive PGs in the NBA since day one. You clearly watched him a lot, if you say that he "now he tries on defense".
If Towns, Rubio , Wiggins played better on ball defense wouldn't Min rank out of the bottom third in defensive efficientcy. Steals isn't everything on defense. Same problem Curry has.
Same problem as Curry? I know you're not trying to compare Rubio and Curry on Defense. That's almost as bad as comparing Kwahi to Harden on D.
Wolves are only ranked so low in defensive efficiency because of Thibs and the new system. It takes a while to learn different systems especially for a young team not known for defense. I can't wait to see what they do next season, should be able to make the playoffs.
I'm glad Rubio is getting some love. One of the best defenders and an amazing passer.

They should probably move Lavine in the offseason for a good young 3&D player.

I would wait until Trade deadline before trading him . You could get more value for him then.

I don't know....depends if he can accept a role off the bench. I believe the Wolves are right on the edge of having a competitive team. Certainly, .500 ball should be the least of their expectations next year.
They should have a very good-excellent starting five, but they could also have a dynamite bench...if the players will accept their roles...if, if, if, if, if,.
They could have Lavine, Muhammad, Dunn, Jones, and Beljelica off the bench which potentially could score a lot of pts. if not play great defense. And drafting around the eleventh spot, they could add another good player.
Depends on if the players on the team want to win or just accumulate stats.

Tell that to the 76ers and Noel.

Lol that was terrible trade by the 76ers. Should of let him walk before they made that trade.

Finally he has reached league average efficiency. He is an underrated PG, hope the Wolves keep him. Otherwise I wouldn't mind him on the Knicks but then he wouldn't thrive in the stupid Triangle offense that keeps being pushed so I dunno.

I'm skeptical. I love Ricky and hope he keep it up. However, I remember the hot streak he had during his debut where he showed signs of being able to shoot. The guy look, like an absolute allstar then. If he can shoot, he is definitely a top level point guard. But as I said before, it is probably a hot streak.

I think he's underrated, can you imagine him on a team like the Spurs? Man, he would be awesome and so fun to watch with Kawhi/LMA

Which is nuts considering he was "out of the league" bad for the first 7 weeks of the season.
Just picture the situation with a different player. Think of taking the ball out of Chris Paul's hands and sending him to play center, bang against 270 lbs guys every night, post them up trying to score some points and box them out for rebounds. Then say Chris Paul is out of the league bad when it doesn't work and he's posting mediocre numbers across the board. As excessive as it sounds, it's still not that far from the equivalent of parking Rubio on a corner, considering his skillset.
Its definitely far off.
Go Knicks!

Debut? You mean his rookie year?
Rookie Year: 10.6 ppg (35.7% FG, 34.0% 3FG, 80.3% FT), 8.2 apg
Last 30 games: 14.8 ppg (44.5% FG, 40.4% 3FG, 89.3% FT), 10.2 apg
Yeah, clearly the same thing....

Talking about the first games, not the entire rookie year.

Knicks declined to give up an additional asset with Rose (btw Rose himself is not worth Rubio). Knicks made a mistake (unless Sota was asking for porzingas or an unprotected first). Rubio is way better and on team friendly contract. Plus i actually think he might be a good fit with the Zinger. Knicks should have added whatever minor asset that was needed.

The first how many games?
The first half of his rookie year he shot 38%, 35%, 82%. Still not close to what he's shooting now.

Show me where you read that, please. I haven't heard that.
It obviously depends on the asset. It obviously wasn't a 1st or KP, and if it was Hernangomez I would have said no too. If it was Baker, Holiday, or Kuz I would have done it. If it was O'Quinn I would have been hesitant.
Go Knicks!
