Wall kinda had no choice but to chill out because the refs were on his case, but yeah there were a lot dumb decisions by Brooks tonight.

Looks like the 50-win dream will die if we don't steal one in GS.

That is more of an indictment of how mentally weak Wall is then anything. He has been superb all year but games like this do deserve some criticism. Wall and the basically the entire front court didn't come to play. Brooks didn't come to coach either. You lose to a team down their starting PG and PF... fairly bad. :noway:

Rockets up 12 on GS. If they lose tonight, better believe they're gonna be fired up for a revenge game. GS has only lost multiple game in a row once all season.

I'm not a Brooks' hater like some on this board but this was not one of his better moments. It started with going small with Kieff against Gobert at center? Really? I wouldn't have done that with the February Kieff when he could actually make 3-pointers. That would be fine if Withey was in. But Gobert won this game with his defense and Hayward won as the closer after not playing well early. Otto had a nice stretch on offense for about 3 minutes and that was it. When he's not hustling and getting loose balls, he can't just go on his talent. Brooks needed to get Oubre in late for D and Mahinimi as well. Taking them out was fine but not bringing them back in a few minutes later was idiotic.

They should still be on pace for 50 given what the projections were leading up to this game, but I agree, this was a game that they needed to steal going 4-1 in the last 5 games is a tall order given how Charlotte, Detroit, and Miami are battling it out, even if we are technically favored in the majority of them. Wall needs to keep his emotions in check also, one more T and he'll get suspended.

3 things:
Reffering
Bad coaching: small ball with Morris, no Oubre in final minutes, no Smith...

As I said earlier I hope we stay 4th and rest guys from now on. And fingers crossed for Cavs being 2nd.

We have big problem after this season. Gortat and Ian are both awful and need to go. Morris isn't starter caliber PF but with his salary he won't be moved.
Otto isn't max. I hope we sign & trade if we match max offer or he accept reasonable offer. Brooks is starting play of my nerves. His rotations are so terrible sometimes, and sometimes it looks like he can't feel the game.

Seems like Wall has to Win the game for the Wiz or they lose...yall dont see how scary that is? Wall aint the type of player you want to HANG all the games on. You need something from that much hyped best 5 in the east. Right now it looks like Wall then Beal then Wall then Beal and occasionally the both bring it..and nothing much offensively from the rest of the team. We see fits and spurts. If we gonna hang this L on Wall while Porter, Morris, Gortat, Jennings and bogs all go for less than their scoring avg...OK...but wow...does he have to Carry the team every night or its a L?

No, he got his **** destroyed by Gobert numerous times and stopped being aggressive. He thought it would be as easy our last few games vs soft teams like the Lakers/Clippers and didn't adjust to the physicality
