Its a shame no one pushed to pick him up, I always thought ricky rubio was pretty awesome. I'm surprised with all these analytics guys floating around, no one saw his value. Though I guess I could be wrong.

You mean all the analytics guys that would look and see his 9 PPG/8 APG on ~51% TS he had for most the season?

Is any of that analytics? Nothing special analytics wise about basic ppg and apg, and even TS% is about as basic as it gets. The big thing a lot of people are looking at with analytics these days are "impact" stats, and Rubio certainly bears out well with those.

It's a fair enough point, although it does seem more difficult for a pass-first defensive guard to look good on a bad team.
