3 turnovers for Yabs in a few minutes (one was a bad call on a travel) and he finally missed a shot. Now 17 pts and 8 rebs in 21 minutes after 3 quarters. He had a brief turnover stretch like this last night too.

Red Claws are 2nd Seed, regardless of the results of this game.

They go against the Fort Wayne Mad Ants, in the 1st Round.

One thing that they have in the D-League, is a Coach's Challenge.

It used to be the whole game, and encompass more.
Now it's a bit more restricted. I think only the last 2 mins, per Qtr.

Yabs is bringing booty back.

Mickey may just may the DLeague HOF.

Yabusele moved up in competition level when he went from the CBA to the D-league, but he's producing just as if nothing changed. That's a good sign. If he gets touches, he scores. If he gets minutes, he rebounds.

It's another giant step moving up to the NBA, but so far so good.

It's so discouraging seeing Mickey dominate at the D League level knowing full well that NONE of that has ever translated to the NBA. What a damn shame.

If Mickey could shoot the 3 consistently at the NBA level , he will have a pretty long NBA career. He's a stretch 4 that can play some defense.

His biggest problem right now is he just doesn't have any confidence when he plays. He's very indecisive.

Also we are expecting him to be a shot blocking presence and a rebounder. When the reality is he doesn't have the physical stature to guard any C and his role should be something similar to Jerebko.

I'll be interested if he get any opportunity if we rest players down the stretch.

Mickey is a mental train wreck. No interest in his D-league highlights. He's gonna be traded.

The Windy City announcers did a good job last night. They were entertaining both in ways they meant to be and ways they didn't. At one point they said about Yabusele after his great baseline drive, "He's like a bulldozer."

He's not tall, but his super-thick strong frame kind of reminds me of Anthony Mason... with a nice 3 point stroke.

Two of the turnovers he was charged with were bad calls on travels and took away drives he was about to attempt. What a unique and interesting prospect. It's impossible to know what he might become. His defense will determine how soon he plays in the NBA.

Can't take much from CBL stats but Yabu did shoot .364 on over 200 attempts from 3. Also shot 69% at the line on about 250 attempts.

Marshon brooks is putting up 36 ppg lol

Guerschon Yabusele shows full repertoire in D-League debut

Extended highlights:

Is the distance of the three-point line in the G-League same as in NBA?

Wild redraft/future rankings by Ford and pelton on ESPN. Bad news is Skal at #2 by Ford. Good news is Yabu at #4 and Zizic #5. Brown slips to 6/7. Very weird and I'll still take jaylen #2 overall. But I'm feeling a sliver of optimism on Yabu now.

Watching Yabusele play in the DL, he looks huge for how mobile he is. It's almost like my brain is playing tricks on me. He's really intriguing to me on the offensive end. I wonder if people will be able to defend him in the NBA? Too fast for big guys, too huge for little guys. I could see him destroying teams without good shot-blocking presence.

Also, I love seeing that level of scoring efficiency from him (7-9)...

If that is even remotely true, we're talking about some serious drafting skills by Ainge and co.

EDIT: also, wasn't the knock on Jaylen that he couldn't shoot? Well I don't think that's a real issue now. The only thing left is his handles.

He needs some counter moves and improved footwork, as well.

Get the guy a summer with Hakeem.

Exactly and his body is what makes him NBA ready physically.

Where someone like Mickey isn't strong or tall enough to bang in the NBA.

Thing about Jaylen... Everything that was a knock on him has been advertised. Competent shooting, passing, rebounding - I noticed in summer league a real knack for offensive boards. Basically he's raised his floor...He just needs to keep moving towards his ceiling. Man are these corner 3s promising. The stroke is there. Just needs consistency, and there's not much reason to think he won't continue to improve.

If Yabu pans out ainge deserved real credit on a pick from way out in left field. Similar to rozier although the jury is out.

Not sure why Zizic fell though, he seemed like an obvious pick.

He still scares me as the kind of undersized guy who excels at every level except NBA. Even a guy like Antoine at his best was excellent until he faced legit big like Sheed and couldn't get a shot off. Then again, we're looking for a rotation guy in Yabu, not a star - but should you aim for a rotation guy at 15 when you have loads of picks?

If Ryan Gomes and Big baby had a child that could rebound.....Seriously though Yabs is a better rebounder then either and he can stroke the three, he will have issues guarding taller 4's and 5's and possibly scoring down low but he can stretch the floor, he has really good handles and body control for a 4 and his mass is great for blocking out, setting picks and making room for rebounds and post ups...after seeing what else there has been in this draft He looks like a solid pick. He is 6'8 in shoes but has a 7 foot 1.5 inch wingspan and a 8'9 standing reach which makes him only a litle bit undersized...Skal for example has a 8'9.5 standing reach, Marquise Chriss has an 8'9 standing reach as well. He looks good hope he works hard and seizes on his potential
