If it's Wise, Gwynn, and Weeks, I might be sick. :nonono:

So our free agents will be Dunn, Coco and Jenks. We can use Jenks salary + increase the payroll and keep both if we wish.

Um, where is this coming from?

This better not be true. I wouldn't give up much for 2 months of Adam "Get Er" Dunn.
It's a matter of opinion, and your opinion is wrong.

it's not Weeks. If it is, I'll be sick with you....I'm thinking a SS prospect + Wise + Gwynn...which would be a great trade, IMO

I'm fine with the deal if it doesn't include Ricky or one of our better young arms like Villanueva, Gallardo or even Inman.

If it's Wise, Gwynn and an infield prospect I'm ecstatic. If it's Bow and Wise I'm...I don't know. I think I'm still excited. Bow has been fantastic in the 8th and Wise is Mr. Reliable, but we've still got two young studs in Carlos and Yovani (once Sheets is back) and Para may be a guy to rely on.

It's also not incredibly tough to pick up middle relief.

JJ, Prince, Braun, Gallardo are all on their rookie contracts. Dunn is gonna want a big, long contract. No way do the Brewers give him the contract he seeks when they have to resign their best players.

Dunn is gonna get a big deal from a team like the Yankees, Giants, etc.

Why not? You like Tony "I'll never be more than a 4th OF" Gwynn that much??

So long as Weeks isn't in the deal, I'll be very pleased

If Dunn gets us to the post-season and beyond, I'm fine with a two (hopefully three) month rental.

Hart
Hardy
Braun
Prince
Dunn

is absolutely filthy.

Agreed.

There's no way Weeks is in it.

And for a team that has bullpen issues (both in terms of being overworked and a need for futrther help) I can't see them dealing BOTH Wise and Turnbow.

I bet it's Wise, Gwynn + IF prospect (think AA)

No, I just don't like trading pitching for Dunn. We have above average production and defense out of left field. We do not need more swinging and missing and terrible defense. Trading pitching while in a playoff run is just plain stupid. I would only do this for Griff.

Gwynn is still listed in the starting lineup (Hart has the day off). Gross in RF. So we'll see if he's part of the deal. Maybe the Reds will let him play and then make the trade. :)

for a 37 year old who's bound to be on the DL in a few weeks?

No thanks. Give me Dunn, and resign him instead of Jenks in the offseason. He gets on base a good amount (despite the high KO ratio) and hits a ton of jacks--plus it's even more protection for Prince.

Gotta like this deal for now....

Wise is a dime a dozen....
