I don't know how to differentiate between more talented and better. To me, it's the same thing. Now if you mean Curry is more important to his team because of depth issues or that he's the focal point of the offense then that could be an opinion that I would partly understand.

It's true that Golden State would struggle without Curry because you're replacing him with a player that's not on the same level as Iguodala (who is a playoff level starter), but Golden State's offense is so freeflowing that their top scorer can change game by game, so they don't have to depend on Curry to carry them. When Curry is the focal point and he's on a roll, then he shows why he's one of the best players in the world.

Curry would be winning his 3rd MVP in a row if the Warriors hadn't signed KD. And would still be winning 65+ games.

Curry should be placed higher than Lebron in MVP balloting

Post#1883 » by asero » Mon Apr 3, 2017 1:35 pm

Simple reason that his team has the best record and is on 11 game winning streak without KD.
Afterall, he should be the MVP this year but obviously he would not win it.

But at best, he should be placed higher than LBJ. The difference in wins is glaring

Perhaps, regardless, it's between Harden, Westbrook, and Leonard, so who's 4th at this point, does it really matter? Who was 4th last year? Nobody cares, they just remember that Curry won, maybe you remember the runner up, but beyond that, meh.

Doesn't matter dude. All that matters is who wins it, and it's neither Steph nor LeBron.

I doubt Steph or LeBron care even apart from anyone else, and doubt either would care about winning the thing again, let alone who between the two of them should be the higher ranked runner-up.

Realistically after the loss in the finals with Curry disappointing I don't think Curry wins the MVP this year with Westbrook and Harden having the years they do.

And? When Kd won the mvp, was he better than LeBron? Hell no.

Just bc someone has a better season doesn't mean they're a better player. Curry fans should know, they made that mistake last year.

Curry was n is where he belongs 3-5

Both are more valuable than Harden.

And I wouldn't be too upset with Steph over LeBron - however:

Games played:

Thompson - 74
Curry - 75
Green - 73
Iguodala - 73
KD - 59

LeBron - 70
Kyrie - 68
Love - 55
Thompson - 76
JR - 35

LeBron's were all for rest obviously, but Kyrie missed some games due to injury; obviously Love and JR as well. KD obviously has the injury, but the other 4 key cogs? Damn that's impressive.

Injuries are apart of the game and that's fine - but missing parts of your starting lineup for half the year would be difficult for any team.

He's been playing like an MVP since Durant went out, but he had a sharp decline over his previous MVP seasons until then. Just not enough longevity this season. I don't think he'll be in the running for MVP as long as KD is there.

Last year, it was a common thing to hear.

Sure, but not really relevant in the context of my comment.

Does anyone remember who finished 3rd, 4th, 5th or 6th in the MVP vote in any previous seasons? I didn't think so.

Curry already owned KD in reg season and ps and has far better team impact that KD will ever have in the previous two years before this one.

Last year he owned him and WB. We saw in PS the OKC team was an elite team when they beat the Spurs. The reason the Warrior team last year was elite was because of the guy running the show. I don't even know how anyone can even debate it last year. Led to historic rs, beat OKC every game in rs and then beat them in ps. I don't want to hear any excuses.

Are you Durant's cousin by any chance? I can't deal with this level of stanning.
