I'm with Julius. We desperately need to stop sucking and start playing winning ball now. Need to.

Don't get me wrong, I'll take the top three pick if we're lucky to get it, but more importantly, we need to give free agents a "basketball reason" to come here. In other words, we need to put together an impressive string of wins now with what we've got.

Why?

Because free agent stars is what will catapult us into the playoffs. Anither pick won't. A hypothetical example: Westbrook would probably rather play with Paul George on the roster than if we added another rookie (to add to four pre-existing pups).

We need to WIN to draw interest from the stars in the league. Free agency is where it's at, not the draft. We have enough youth, even on to spare (JC).
Since the 1976 merger LAL 11, CHI 6, BOS 6, SAS 5, GSW 4

PG: Luka / Vincent / Bronny
SG: Smart / Reaves / Knecht / MaƱon
SF: LaRavia / Rui / Thiero

Do you truly honestly believe a string of pointless wins at the end of one of the worst seasons in Lakers franchise history will help attract free agents?

Rather y'all get Lonzo. If he pans out, some free agent is gonna want to play with someone with his skillset.

liking tyler ennis' floor general style like he had in college.

really like the moves ingram is showing when he's slashing to the bucket and facing up in the high post.

Wright did little else. The lack of shot blocking was the main reason we won.

Ennis was terrible at creating offense.

Lakers are going to have a hard time keeping brandon Ingram this summer's. If you are a GM of another team all trades probably start with him.

Sorry, but I totally disagree.

Lonzo/Fultz is 10x the "basketball reason" to come here than ending the season with 23-24 wins instead of 20. These are just pointless stupid wins.

Keeping Ingram is as easy as saying "no" to any lame ass offer from other teams.

But as others have said, magic has painted himself in a corner. There's so much talk about improving this team this summer. Add on to Jeannie bus being sad over not having a all-star . If I were betting Russell or Ingram will not be on this team next year. I'd keep them both if I had a say in it.

Good God no, I think we should cut him today and sign someone else as a trial for the remainder of the season. He is not a good defender and the offense is stagnant when he is the lone guard on the 2nd units. The dude has zero feel for the pick and roll game.

I guess i'm just a victim of what scientists call the "Huertas/Price effect"

Lottery is rigged folks, we're getting that number 1 pick. And they'll probably give Orlando the number 2 pick, since it kind of screws them over if we keep our pick.

If the lottery was rigged we'd have got #1 two years ago and taken Towns.

As it stands now a I am very happy with the players we've selected given the positions we've drafted from.

I commend Luke for trying to win, but honestly losing 5 more games and then solely focusing on WINS next season is more practical, even for Luke...

With that scenario in place it would make Rob and Magic's life more easier, and that path would make Luke's life a helluva lot easier.

Swallow your pride for 5 more games and LOSE! Next season try to win as many as your heart's content, hell, try to make the damn playoffs and give Philly the worse pick as possible. I hope Magic and Rob are at least considering this...

When it's all said and done nobody is going to remember we tanked to get these guys.
