Yes please. Maybe being a bottom five team for about 2 years will actually net us actual stars for once, instead of faux-stars like RJ and Dre and hopelessly building a team around them and landing in the 11th spot.

I would have to at least consider this. It saves us 28.7M in 2021. We would have an additional asset in Russell guaranteed for awhile. I would likely ask for the Lakers 2017 2nd rounder if they have one. Honestly they would likely do this, as Dre would no doubt do much better for them than us.

I would rather have a 45M liability over 3 years in Mosgov, than a 100M over 4 in Dre. Our payroll is (Please Use More Appropriate Word), and at least mosgof can make free throws at the end of the game. I would offer that this trade allows you to keep KCP or not, and roll with the best draft pick available. Flexibility and some semblance of cap responsibility come from this. But you have to develop the young players. That's what it comes down to.

Agreed. I think we take that and not look back. Seeing as how Boogie basically just netted an okay first and an okay Buddy Hield, this might be the more realistic route.

I'd gladly take Mozgov and maybe Zubac or Larry Nance? Lakers immediately have a young center and a high draft pick (one of Fultz or Ball) to rebuild and be competitive for the future. I don't think Russell will properly be able to play with either of them.

I read a lot of weird trade crap on this site, but this one actually makes sense. Drummond for DLo and Mozgov, I mean.

Russell needs out of LA to get his mind together. Talented, but struggling. He won't be an All-Star NBA 2 guard, and the Lakers will likely draft a point guard for value if they keep their pick. Mozgov has negative value, but the contract isn't as toxic as Drummond's will be if this is all you get.

Andre would LOVE to be in LA. It might prove too big a distraction, but he'd sure as hell be happy to be there. All that team's talent is small, skinny, or both, and he'd fill a real need. They can afford him if they can offload Moz.

Do it.

I am not a Drummond dan, actually I am the first Drummond "hater" here. When I said he is horrible defender you all said he is young (another silly argument you always use). But he is the only talent we have. If he had a good p&r pg with good shooters (remember, will bynum, charlie v and drummond bench. I am not saying they were great players but that scheme shows what drummond could be) hw could be a force offensively. He is terrible at defense so we need a great PF defender. But what we did? We sign Harris who is terrible at defense. And our shooters are below average and instable. Our point guard is a not a real point guard can't shoot.

This is all SVG's faults. Keep Dummond, use him as a P&R force and surrender him with shooters.

Opposed to being a bottom 10 team? Wow, what an upgrade!

At least those bottom five teams are getting a shot at a real difference maker in the draft.

but last yeat we were in the playoffs because of him. I don't like him. I have been called drummond hater, too. he is one of the worst defensive center but we payed him. and he is only talent we have. we have to rebuilt around him.

That's terrible logic, I completely disagree.

Nobody on this team is a player you build around. SVG wanted to recreate Orlando, and he's failed miserably in that regard.
