Wolves Get Russell

Lakers get a higher scoring guard from UCLA and appears to have good leadership skills, but is coming off a surgery. Pair him up with Ball in the backcourt or a more defensive player to cover for his lack of defense.

Wolves trade Lavine, who is hurt, for russell. Wolves actually play better without Lavine because both Lavine and Wiggins are bad on defense. Russell could be okay. Russell may not be able to score as well as lavine, but it appears that he has better passing abilities. Thoughts?

I just think Russel has more value at this point than Lavine does. Lavine is coming back from injury and has less years remaining on his contract than Russel.
