GT: Grizzlies vs. Spurs

This will be the last time we see the Grizzlies this year... in the regular season that is. With the way things are shaping up we're going to be facing the Grizzlies in the first round so this is one last look at them for us.

The key to this one is going to be matching the Grizzlies intensity level and playing a physical game. We can't let them out muscle us and push us around. We have to establish the pace of the game and we have to do it early.

And no Green or Murray for this one. Both have already been ruled out.

Sucks that Murry's hurt too these last 10 games or so would of been perfect games for him to get minutes. On the plus side we've seen a decent amount of Forbes lately and he's looked decent.

I'm not one for I-told-you-sos, but I got into a long debate with someone in one of the 'preseason prediction' threads on the GB because he insisted this was FINALLY the year the Spurs would miss the 50-win mark and devolve into a low-to-mid-40-win-team; he scoffed at the notion of a 50-win season.

I wish I could find that thread now.

Nah! Dude was off by a few notches. The Spurs are a efficient oil run machine. That said, they will need to examine their offseason coming up. Address improvements in and around KL to continue the Spurs success.

Not our best performance we came out flat to start the game and let the Grizzlies get back into late but we pulled it off with some heroics from Kawhi and LMA. That play to send it to OT was brilliant.
