Sorry, but I like the thought of adding another feared bat.
Could have used one last night

What do the Brewers lack? Is it...
A) Experienced players that perform in clutch situations (aka recipe for success in playoffs).
or
B) A swing and miss power hitter that does not hit in clutch situations.
We have plenty of guys that fit into choice B. Why would anyone want to trade for another one?

It's a matter of opinion, and your opinion is wrong.

Assuming it is NOT a high level prospect (which I definitely agree with), this trade is an absolute NO-Brainer. Who cares if the guy strikes out? He'll produce more runs in a lineup than anybody we're giving up (and that includes runs saved by potentially Gwynn and Wise), so that's why it's a good one for this year.
Long term? Who cares--nobody involved was likely to be huge part of this team going forward (except for maybe Gwynn since he's BFF with Fielder) and if the Brewers decide to make a long term investment in Dunn, I'm SURE it won't be at the expense of resigning Braun, Gallardo, Hart, Hardy and Fielder down the road....
The real question, is what does this trade mean for Jenkins? You gotta think he's going to get even LESS at bats with Dunn here. On the one hand it decreases his market value this offseason, if we choose to resign him...but on the other hand, he's been playing awfully well as of late.
This deal also gives us some flexibility to gradually work Hall into the lineup.

Please list available players from your A category. Then let me know which one is better than Adam Dunn.
I don't disagree with your premise, but it's pretty hard to trade for that if it's not available (and EVERY other playoff team is looking for something comparable).

And just who might that be

it's interesting with/without the deal. Brewers would jsut be increasing their margin for error with this deal....it would be interesting to see the Cubbies panic and try and deal for like a Bobby Abreu tho (assuming the Yanks stay out of the race).
I don't like your wavering, MD....

I really hope the "snag" wasn't that Yost forgot he wasn't supposed to start Gwynn (or Gross) today...
