No way to know that

I mean remember when everyone was convinced they loved Dante Exum because of the connection with their coaching being his coach in HS or something?

Teams this time of year dont tell anyone who they actually like

I think Philly would take Fox or DSJr before Tatum. They need a PG and more 3point shooting. I also can't see them drafting Tatum or Isaac while they have Covington. He has played great for them. Now if they trade Covington, then its anything goes.

Even if they pick Tatum, Isaac will still be available and that is a great thing.

I get that Philadelphia needs backcourt help, but I don't actually see why they would use that draft pick as the means to acquiring it. Tatum and Isaac would both fit well with Embiid and Simmons, though it would necessitate Saric coming off of their bench (not really a bad thing). If they want to expedite their path to the playoffs, a veteran PG would seem to be a better option.

It makes sense because they have shown alot of interest in bringing back Jrue Holiday. If they pick a SF then what are they gonna go with Covington? He is their starting SF and Is playing very well.

You can say the same of McConnell as well though. I think Holiday would be a fantastic fit on that team. The problem is that there are no guarantees there, and the draft takes place before free agency opens. If I were running that team, I don't think I would want a rookie PG running the offense with all of those weapons in their frontcourt that they need to focus their development on. Ideally, I think they'd like to pick up a SG, and Monk would be a nice fit, but I think the upside of each of the wings is significantly higher than that of Monk.

It will be interesting. I think they can go in almost any direction. I'm just not as confident as others that Philadelphia will draft a guard.

If they pick a SF then they have to trade Convington. Also the way Saric has played his rookie year, I can't see them sending him to the bench. The guy is avg 20/10 in his last 7 games. Then you have Simmons. Who they say will experiment with him at PG but we know his natural position is at that PF/SF combo.

I just can't see them picking another SF when they have such a glaring hole at that PG. like you said there is no guarantee holiday or another veteran PG will sign with them. Fox would be a perfect fit for them. Then again it's colangelo and who knows what he will do.

That was the most blatant on court tank attempt by the lakers ive ever seen. Sad day for the league. They should be fined.

Agree. Its a problem now. I think teams that blatantly tank should have lottery balls removed to lower their chances for top pick.

Looks like Lakers are finishing 3rd best odds. Unfortunately for them, they now have a higher chance to falling to the 4th or 5th pick. Luke did everything possible,e to lose this game and reserves still won it. These kind of blatant tanking actions really gives the NBA a bad look. They need to do something about this.

Bruh, lets be real here, the Suns are throwing a college team out there and we're all rooting for them to lose out.

There's nothing that can be done. League has much bigger problems. I applaud the Lakers for attempting to tank unlike us.

I mean tanking by management is kind of excusable in a way, as it can be framed that they are focusing on youth development which is understandable. But literally not playing ANY of your starters to finish the game, VS the Spurs, when you are up 5 with like 1 minute to go is next level. That requires player and coach buy-in and is impacting their in game rotations. They should be heavily punished for this.
