A NEW song for Russell's MVP campaign: "Go Westbrook"

Post#1 » by 23forever » Wed Apr 5, 2017 2:08 am

Greetings Thunder fans,

I typically only post on the Bulls board, but I've been coming to RealGM for many years. I'm more of a lurker than a poster anymore because my schedule doesn't really allow for as much time as it used to (I teach HS English in Baltimore full time and essentially perform music full time as well). Despite being a Bulls fan, I'm a major fan of Russell Westbrook; he's my favorite player in the league outside of anyone in Chicago.

Long story short, I just put an album out that's being received quite well (material off the album has been covered by reputable outlets like SiriusXM Shade45, HipHopDX, 2DopeBoyz, and many more). The way things are moving, it's quite possible I won't have the time to teach anymore after this year.

One of the songs on the album was loosely inspired by Russell Westbrook. I released it as a single yesterday. I figured given the source material, some of you may appreciate this. I've left the Soundcloud link as well as a link to my website. If you dig, I always appreciate the shares/follows on social media, etc. While I've left a Soundcloud link, "Go Westbrook" can be found wherever you stream or download music, as can the album it's on: Hip-Hop*.

One of the many goals of this song is obviously to get Russ to hear it, so if you're a Twitter user, a RT of the pinned tweet in my profile go a long way (we were doing pretty well there the last time I checked).

I appreciate your time and hope you guys enjoy this: https://soundcloud.com/mcbravado/go-westbrook-1

Just saw on the GB and gave a bit of a listen, good stuff man.

And to take back to the Bulls board, your team is the only one left he doesn't have a TD against.

Gratitude bro...and that's crazy with regards to the TD. I really thought that was something we would never see again, but he really took everything to another level this year.

Raps fan here! Wish you the best of luck!
Just quoting this from a discussion that we've been having on our board.

#WestbrookWatch:
April 5th @ Memphis, Russ tallied 45 PTS, 10 AST & 9 REB.

In order to average at least 30/10/10 for the season, he needs just:

2REBs and 19ASTs

OKC have 5 remaining games!

Seriously? That is incredible!

Yep, saw it on the Bulls reddit. Thought it was Portland too but guess not.
